HEART Pet Rescue

Early warning that we will be participating in Subaru of Cary's Howloween party on October 17th! Put it into your calendar and join us for a fun event!

Join us tomorrow, Saturday the 29th, at Come Out and Play! We hope to be there from noon to 4 PM!

For the 25th. year in 2026, artists will be exhibiting and selling their work at JimGin Farm. The opening will take place Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30 starting at noon and going until dark. There will also be receptions on the next four Saturdays, September 5, 12, 19, and 26, starting at 12 p.m. and going until dark. Artists keep 100% of sales and do not pay a fee to participate. There will be live music, free food and drink, and a vast array of art. There is never an admission fee. We hope everyone will support the artists.

Opening weekend will feature face painting and balloon animals by Pringle Teetor and Robin Holmes. There will also be a loom on site.

We're located at JimGin Farm, 150 Wild Horse Run, Pittsboro, the home of Debbie Meyer and Eric Brantley. To contact Debbie, call or text 919-357-6142 or email her at [email protected].

Come out, join the fun and meet some of our adoptable dogs! Get to know some incredible artists, fresh air, and an amazing rural setting!

We hope to have Thicket, Lady Grey, Ank Su Namun, Seamus, and Sapphire at this event. We aren't able to make links in this post, but will post one of the dogs below. To see into on them, go to our website, heartpetrescue .org (no space) and scroll down our home page to see our adoptable dogs.

Lamb Chop

Breed: Bichon Frise
DOB: 12-13-2013
Gender: Female, spayed
Weight: Currently 27 pounds, should weigh about 15
Microchipped
Adoption Fee: $250

Whew! There's a lot of Lamb Chop to love! Lamb Chop currently weighs in at a hefty 27 pounds and should weigh about 15. She has a long way to go in her weight loss journey and we can't wait to see how she looks and feels when she reaches her goal!

Lamb Chop is a sassy little gal with a big personality! She loves people and wants very much for the cats in her foster home to love her! They don't, but she continues to invite them to play!

If you're looking for an adorable gal who can bring you joy and entertainment for the rest of her life, consider Lamb Chop! We are very serious about her need to lose weight. It will take many months for her to get down to a healthy weight. She doesn't know, though! We are working to get her to eat healthy foods and will add some veggies to her diet to fill her up without filling her out!

Lamb Chop walks well on a leash. Adding walks to her program will help her a lot. However, she will need to start slow and build up her distance, since she has led a sedentary life for a long time!

Lamb Chop is such a fun dog!

Meet Lady Grey

Breed: Shih Tzu
DOB: 1-4-2013
Gender: Female, spayed
Weight: about 13 pounds
Microchipped
Adoption Fee: $200

Lady Grey is a sweet little Shih Tzu with a gentle personality! She is happy being near her people and eager to go out for walks and time in the fenced yard. She is a steady and gentle little dog that is slowly becoming more engaged in her foster home.

She recently had a dental cleaning and check-up and was cleared for adoption. She is on a pain medication for her back, but is otherwise doing well!

We are seeking a quiet home for Lady Grey that would enjoy some companionship. We don't know if she will become a wild and crazy girl with time or if slow and quiet is her normal. She knows how to walk on a leash and has been taking little walks with her foster. She is a mellow gal!

This is a great little dog who deserves a soft landing for her remaining years! Is she the one for you?
