During this service, we found what appeared to be a possible mouse entry point along the foundation. We got right to work blocking and sealing the opening to help prevent rodents from using it as their personal front door. 🚪🐭🚫

Mice are excellent at finding tiny gaps around a home—especially near foundations, pipes, utility lines, doors, and other exterior openings. That’s why rodent control isn’t just about placing traps or bait. Finding and addressing potential entry points is an important part of helping keep them from coming back. 🔍

🐝 Did you know some stinging insects build their nests UNDERGROUND?

Not every nest is hanging from a tree or tucked under an overhang. Some species—such as yellowjackets—can nest in the ground, often using existing holes or cavities. That can make the nest easy to miss until you notice insects repeatedly flying in and out of the same spot.

This job is a great example. The nest was underground, so we suited up in protective gear and treated the nesting area.

⚠️ Ground nests can be especially risky because you may accidentally disturb one while mowing, doing yard work, gardening, or simply walking nearby. Once their nest is threatened, yellowjackets can become very defensive.

🐭 Did you know mice can squeeze through an opening about the size of a dime?

That’s why successful mouse control isn’t just about traps and bait—it’s also about finding and sealing the places they’re using to get inside.

At this job, we found a vulnerable area along the bottom of the door that could provide an entry point for mice. We removed the existing piece and installed a heavy-duty steel door barrier with a lifetime warranty. 🔧

Why steel? Mice are persistent chewers, and softer materials can become damaged over time. A properly installed steel barrier helps create a much more durable defense at one of the most common entry points: exterior doors.

🔍 When inspecting for mice, we look beyond the obvious. Gaps around doors, utility penetrations, foundations, pipes, vents, and other small openings can all provide potential access.

Treating the mice you have is only part of the solution. Helping prevent the next ones from getting in is just as important. 🐭🚫
