BREAKING: Jessica French Censure Tabled Indefinitely

Shasta County Office of Education President Michael Orlicky moved to table indefinitely the proposed censure of Trustee Jessica French during tonight’s meeting. Orlicky was the one who put the item on the agenda to begin with.

The item concerned Board Bylaw 9005 and French’s personal social-media activity. The meeting packet did not identify a specific subsection of the bylaw that French was alleged to have violated, while also acknowledging the board’s previous determination not to apply Bylaw 9005 expectations to trustees’ personal social media.
