Honor Flight Rochester

We hear it all the time.

“Take someone else.”
“Someone else deserves it more.”
“I’ll go someday.”

That humility is one of the things we admire about our Veterans.

But Honor Flight Rochester has now honored more than 5,000 veterans on flights to Washington, D.C. We have another mission coming this year and our 100th Mission is approaching next spring. Then we need to fill more missions in 2027 and beyond.

If you served through 1975, we don't want you to keep waiting for “someone else.”

It’s your turn. Apply now.

And if you know a veteran who always puts everyone else first, send this to him or her.

Honor Flight Rochester Mission 98 Welcome Home Ceremony Wraps Up...

GVC President, Tim Vaughan (Center), is pictured with Kristi Blake, WHEC News 10 Anchor and ceremony Emcee (Left), and Kim Gould, President, Honor Flight Rochester (Right).

Tim was the Honor Flight Rochester Mission 98 Keynote Speaker for the mission's welcome home ceremony on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

This mission was the first HFR mission to include a Bus component of 21 veterans who were unable to fly, which synchronized activities for memorial tours and also the arrival and welcome home ceremony back at the Rochester airport.

It also was a significant milestone for HFR, as this mission crossed the 5,000 veterans having gone on missions since HFR was formed in 2008.
