A 23-year-old man on parole is charged with the murder of a cook outside of a bar on St. Paul Street early Saturday morning.

Alexavier Colon is accused of stabbing Kameron Nelson, 33, outside of The Mafia Hub. Police say Nelson intervened when he saw Colon fighting with his girlfriend.

Colon was released on parole on May 18 with an ankle monitor after serving a 3.5-year prison sentence on a gun charge. He was arrested in 2021 for shooting a man on Sullivan Street in Rochester.

UDPATE: A mother has pleaded guilty following the death of her 16-year-old son in Rochester. Aneka Connor will serve 1-3 years in prison.

Doorbell camera video from Breck Street last October captured Connor and her son, Ca’hry Gibson, getting into an argument over a cell phone.

Officers say Gibson jumped onto his mom’s car and she hit the gas, causing the teen to fall off and sustain serious injuries. Ca’hry’s father took him off life support a month later.

UPDATE: RPD says the victim "sustained a laceration severe enough that it severed his hand from his body."

He was taken to Strong Hospital and rushed into surgery, which thanks to the tourniquet put on by officers, was determined to be a no longer life threatening injury.

The investigation led Officers and Detectives inside of a nearby apartment, where evidence of shots fired and an AR-style rifle was recovered. Additionally, an approximately 12 inch, fixed blade, knife was recovered from the scene.

More pictures from the apartment complex fire in Clarkson. Four people were treated at the scene. One person was rescued and carried out from their apartment. 30 people are displaced.

Two cats and an Iguana were rescued by firefighters. No firefighters were hurt. No word yet on the cause.

15 Fire companies from Monroe, Orleans and Genesee County responded to assist. They included Hamlin-Morton-Walker, Hilton, Spencerport, Bergen, Churchville, Murray, Gates, Ridge Road FD, North Greece, Albion, Kendall, Chili, Henrietta, Mumford and Scottsville.

BREAKING: Four-alarm fire this morning in Clarkson. It’s at an apartment complex on Lake Road.

Lake Road is closed in both directions between W. Ridge Road and Burch Farm Drive.

Crash Saturday on the Thruway in Henrietta. Firefighters say a vehicle rolled multiple times, trapping three people including a baby in a car seat. Bystanders got the baby out. The other vehicle ended up in a farm field.

Four people were hurt in the crash. Fortunately, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
