I got to see the Raging Grannies of Rolla perform yesterday and as always they did amazing! These wonderful ladies use music, humor, and a whole lot of granny love to support causes they care about and bring smiles wherever they go…I’m just waiting for them to go on tour! 😂
I know for certain that if my Grammy were still with us she would’ve absolutely loved this. Thank you, ladies, for sharing your talents and reminding us that you’re never too old to have fun, make people smile, and make a difference. Rolla is lucky to have you! 🫶🏼

Last night the Missouri Dept. of Conservation hosted a Dutch Oven cooking class at Rolla Veterans Memorial Park. I learned how to prep chicken, vegetables, desserts, and many more just by using a fire and some charcoal! Thank you Rolla Parks & Recreation Department for advertising the free demo. Be sure to give them a follow if you haven’t already to hear about future Rolla events 🥘👩🍳

I wanted to take a quick moment to share a story about togetherness I experienced last week. One of the things I love most about Rolla is the way our community comes together to support one another.
A few weeks ago, I joined a local Facebook group for women in Rolla. Among the introductions was a post from a woman who had recently moved here from Florida. Originally from Brazil, she was expecting her first baby girl and shared that she didn't know many people in town and didn't have anyone to throw her a baby shower.
What happened next was truly heartwarming. Members of the group stepped up to organize a baby shower at Lions Club Park for someone they had yet to meet, and I had the privilege of attending last week. The afternoon was filled with games, crafts, food, laughter, and so many kind people who simply wanted to make sure a new neighbor felt welcomed and supported. I walked in as a stranger, and came out with many new friends 😊
Moments like these remind me what makes Rolla such a special place to call home. When someone is in need of friendship, support, or a helping hand, our community shows up.
A special thank you to Keely Gray for being the founder of the group, bringing people together and fostering such a welcoming environment for women in our community. Your efforts make a difference, and this beautiful celebration was just one example of the positive impact you've had on so many lives.
This is Rolla at its best 💕

Happy Father's Day to the man who taught me the value of hard work, integrity, and setting an example worth following 👔
Wishing a happy Father's Day to all the dads and father figures in our community!

Last week, I had the opportunity to travel to Columbia for the Missouri Municipal League (MML)Conference. Throughout the conference, I connected with municipal leaders from across the state and attended sessions covering important topics such as zoning, budgeting, economic development, and local governance.
Opportunities like these allow us to learn from one another, share ideas, and bring new perspectives back to our communities. I’m grateful for the chance to represent our city, expand my knowledge, and spend time with fellow local officials who are passionate about serving their residents.
I had a wonderful time with my colleagues and look forward to putting what I learned into practice here back in rolla!!

If you know me, you know that one of my favorite hobbies here in Rolla is fishing. We’re fortunate to have so many great places to cast a line, including Blue's Lake, Little Prairie Lake, Lions Club Park, and Ber Juan Park, just a few of my personal favorites.
With today being National Fishing Day, I’d be remiss not to celebrate one of the many outdoor activities that make Rolla such a special place to live. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking for an excuse to get outside, I encourage you to take advantage of our beautiful parks and waterways this week 🎣
Happy National Fishing Day, and happy fishing! 🐟
