In our last reported year, Rome Community Kitchen served 26,671 meals and provided 3,987 shower and laundry services. 😍 Those numbers represent thousands of moments when our community showed up for a neighbor.

A meal is often the reason someone first walks through our doors. But Rome Community Kitchen is also a place to be welcomed, take a shower, do laundry, and find practical care.

What a fantastic Friday at the kitchen!!! We were so blessed to have Advent Health Georgia come and “take over” the kitchen! They supplied and prepared our fancy meal of chicken & waffles, breakfast potatoes, fruit and muffins and brought it to us, completely ready to serve. They then served our guests and handed out weekend bags! What a treat for us all today! Thank you so much to all who contributed to our beautiful day today!

THANK YOU so much to Rome First Methodist Church for the delicious Mexican casseroles prepared by your amazing volunteers at your Day of Service! Our guests will absolutely love them!!!! What a treat!

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to First Baptist Church for the abundance of donations for our weekend bag program! We were able to pack 80 bags to hand out to our guests on Monday for the Labor Day holiday and we have two carts left over for next weekend! What a blessing!!!! We are so grateful for our partnership with our local churches and organizations! We definitely couldn’t do it without you!!!

We enjoyed another great day at Rome Community Kitchen! We had students and leaders from Winshape at Berry College as well as our friends from Trinity By the River! I love to see everyone working together to love and serve our neighbors and guests! We are so blessed with a beautiful Community Kitchen family!

We enjoyed another wonderful week at the Kitchen! We received an anonymous donation of a full pallet of water today from a family in our community! And Sgt Black from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office picked it up and delivered it to us! We are so blessed to live in such a generous and loving city!

What an AMAZING Friday!!! We had 22 Berry College Venture Students come volunteer this morning! They did everything from making weekend bags to trimming our hedges to organizing our pantry building to serving lunch to washing dishes and picking up trash. They worked so hard and were so delightful and joyful! We truly appreciate our partnership with Berry College!
