Bus Stop Turkeys

Dickory sure has a bond with Helena! He only does this with her. He isn’t trying to hurt her. I’ve been watching him closely with her. He just gets excited when she comes out! She also spent a LOT of time with them as babies.

The babies checking out the surprise chicks one of my hens hatched then abandoned. Don’t worry it was warm out abc they were only in the small cage while I set up their large brooder my dad built.

It’s HOT out here

It’s been HOT out and I’ve been farm sitting on top of caring for my animals. We started letting the babies out in the yard with the boys and they’re doing great. The boys look after them and they’re all in one pen together now at night and when not supervised. My hose doesn’t reach their coop so I’ve been carrying a 5 gallon bucket of water back there at least 3 times a day so they always have fresh cool water sorry we haven’t been posting much. It’s just been hot and this is all they do.

More supervision required apparently.

Apparently mom wasn’t working hard enough on the new coop lol

We got a snag (quite literally) when attempting to mow where the new coop is going. How many turkeys does it take to remove a lawn more deck? The answer is none but don’t tell the boys that!!
