Auto Tech update!

This week Auto Tech 1 is continuing on with automotive electrical theory. Talking about electromechecanical devices, circuit components, and reading wiring diagrams. They pick up the occasional odd job along way like oil changes, tires rotations, and balancing.

Auto Tech 2 is in full hands on mode. Preforming hands assessments and working on the shop floor. Everything from A/C checks, and throttle body services to driveline NVH diagnosis, and transmission mount replacement.

The tradition of hard work in Sanger is alive and well. They are building marketable skills that move us forward with a good old fashioned "taking care of business" mindset.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: James Farris

Meet James Farris, a senior in the Sanger Indians Class of 2027 and one of the hardest-working students in our Auto Tech program!

James has been part of Sanger Auto Tech for four years, and in that time he's built an impressive resume. He's already earned ASE entry-level certifications in:

✅ ASE Brakes
✅ ASE Electrical/Electronic Systems
✅ ASE Suspension & Steering
✅ ASE MLR (Maintenance & Light Repair)
✅ EPA 609 Refrigerant Handling License

On top of all that, James has started his own small engine repair business — talk about initiative!

James shows up and works hard every single day, all while keeping the shop laughing with an endless supply of dad jokes along the way. He is never afraid to get dirty.

We are so proud of everything James has accomplished, and we can't wait to see where his hard work takes him next. Way to go, James — you make us proud to be Sanger Indians!

Sanger Auto Tech update! Auto Tech 1 is studying series and parallel circuits. They spent the week building circuits and looking at the relationship of resistance and amperage flow in circuit. The how and why behind circuit design.

Auto Tech 2 is preforming compression tests and basic base engine diagnoses.

It has been hot this week in the shop and the students beg to go out and work. You can't tell me these kids don't want to work. I see it everyday.

We are off to a great start for the new year. Auto Tech 1 students have started automotive electrical. They performed a hands on lab working on soldering and wire repair.

Auto tech 2 has started Engine repair and sub system operations. Thursday and Friday they had time on the shop floor to work on their own vehicles by attending to any maintenance or repair needs and polishing up their vehicle check out skills.
