Morning light in Santa Barbara, quiet enough to stop and take these pictures.

I spent yesterday with family who live a few hours away. We gathered around the table, rushed through stories, trying to fit months into hours before I had to leave again. Happy Thanksgiving! 🕯️
This year I’m grateful for many things, one of them is how my daughters opened my eyes to thrifting. I’ll admit—there was a time you wouldn’t catch me in a secondhand shop. But now? I see how these finds can create something special. A weathered wooden box becomes a centerpiece. Mismatched vintage plates tell their own stories. And when you add pieces made by local artisans right here in Santa Barbara, your table becomes part of our community and craft.
This Thanksgiving for me is about finding beauty in unexpected places, honoring the makers, and proving that the most memorable gatherings don’t require perfection, just intention.
