RUNNING JUMPING and QUAD DOMINANCE.
Happy Sunday, let's take a look at one of the most crucial portions of any running and jumping application, RE**US FEMORIS (RF).
Located on the anterior (front) medial (middle) portion of your thigh. When we sit for long periods of time the RF gets very tight and sticky so that when we stand up it is hard to obtain full hip extension, and limits our ability to get our pelvis underneath us fully. So let's get to work with a Myofascial Release roller and loosen that anterior anchor... Enjoy!
Re**us Femoris:
Origin: Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine (AIIS)
Insertion: Medial Superior Patellar Tendon
Action: Assist in Hip Flexion and Extension of Knee
