Three years ago, we put our first electric vehicle into service. Today, MTRWESTERN operates 22 EVs, has commissioned seven Level 3 chargers, with six more EVs and four additional chargers on the way.

But the vehicles are only part of the story.

Three years of actually charging, dispatching, maintaining and operating electric commercial vehicles has taught us that successful fleet electrification requires four things working together: vehicles, charging infrastructure, operational expertise and access to capital.

It’s also taught us where electric transportation works well today, and where there’s still work to do.
