The Carkeek Watershed Community Action Project (CWCAP) uses education in action to promote clean water using the might of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to support the health and safety of salmon, watershed, community, and Puget Sound through volunteer, scholastic, agency, and community engagement.

First salmon fry release of the year is this Friday, 4/24/2026 at 8:00pm. We have approximately 20,000 of the biggest fry we have ever raised to release into Venema Creek. Please come and join us as we wish our salmon well on their journey to the Sound and Alaska.
We will also be releasing the Salmon in the School Seattle fry on Saturday, May 9th at 8pm. 22 schools have raised approximately 4,000 fry and released them into our pond.
