Hallie Brewer is a Central Texas–based designer, art director, and visual artist whose work explores the relationship between color, material, shape, and space. Her compositions move fluidly between art and design, pairing a strong graphic sensibility with a thoughtful approach to material and making.
We especially love the way Hallie translates simple geometric forms across different scales and mediums, from works on paper to layered textile compositions and dimensional pieces that create dialogue with the spaces and places they inhabit.
Hallie's work has been featured in numerous Parade projects.

Avalon Wayne embodies curated contemporary design, where sculptural forms and layered materiality set the tone throughout every shared space.
Working hand in hand with the wonderful team at , we developed an art collection rooted in dimension, texture, and a shared spirit of collaboration. We brought these ideas to life through bold wooden sculptures by Scott Troxel, Jenny Dougherty’s custom router-cut prints, and Alan Alldredge’s sweeping, metallic, and textured calligraphic sculptures in the mailroom.
By embracing each artist’s unique style and inspiration, the result is a collection that feels deeply integrated into the architecture—allowing the art to complement, enhance, and extend the space.

Swooning over Judith Garnett's hand-stitched and painted textile works, commissioned for our Jackstraw project in Bend, Oregon. Judith's decade's long connection to the local landscape was the inspiration behind the work, when asked about what this particular location meant to her, this is what Judith had to say:
"Every summer as a child I played along the Metolius River in a borrowed one room cabin. My parents, sister, and the dog all out on the porch sleeping, or inside on the double bunk beds being serenaded by that river song. There was nothing to do but observe nature, play in the woods, and explore the landscape in long periods of time alone."

Kenny Nguyen (b. 1990, Ben Tre Province, Vietnam) creates expansive, dimensional, mixed-media paintings that center on ideas of cultural identity, displacement and integration. Drawing from his experience working with textiles, in particular, silk, a culturally significant material in Vietnam, Nguyen developed a distinctive technique to produce sensual, three-dimensional works that he describes as “deconstructed paintings".
He begins by tearing swaths of silk fabric into hundreds of strips that he dips in acrylic paint and adheres to raw canvas. Methodically, almost meditatively, he repeats the process—tearing, painting, sanding, sewing, weaving, attaching, layering—until he has a structured but malleable medium, which he shapes into undulating, sculpted forms.
The last image in this post show a piece Kenny made for our Holland West project in San Diego, which demonstrates his incredible eye for detail and color. For this work, Kenny created a dazzling array of colors inspired by the sunset across the Pacific Ocean.

Ballard Spahr's new Seattle office is everything we love about art in the workplace — a thoughtfully curated collection spanning local and international artists, clean and refined interiors, and expansive views of the city from the 28th floor.
We're excited to share the first photos from a project nearly two years in the making. These images feature a commissioned work by Rubeena Ratcliffe, the focal point of the office's hospitality area, where clients and colleagues gather and. collaborate.
Rubeena's narrative paintings center the solitary female figure in moments of quiet contemplation and everyday ritual. Her intimate, richly hued compositions feel both personal and poetic. It's a fitting anchor for a space designed for human connection.
A special thank you to Seattle Art Source for facilitating this commission, and to all the talented collaborators who helped bring this project to life.

We loved working with artist Jenna Pirello () to transform a parking garage in Everett, Massachusetts into a landmark worth stopping for. Her fearless use of color turns utilitarian infrastructure into something alive — bold, community-rooted, and impossible to ignore. This piece is a perfect example of how public art can shift the way we experience the places we pass through every day.
When we asked Jenna about this project, here's what she had to say, " I aimed to transform the façade of the parking garage at the Maxwell into a vivid landmark for city. Using bold, interlocking forms and a layered, high‑saturation palette, I activated previously blank surfaces to create a strong visual presence for pedestrians and drivers. Up close, viewers find rich textural detail and painterly gestures; from a distance, saturated color and bold shapes read as an unmistakable beacon. Durable exterior paints and UV‑resistant finishes ensure it endures New England weather while low‑maintenance materials keep it accessible to the community. The work invites daily recognition and local pride as it animates the sky and offers a joyful, lasting point of orientation"

Carrie Gillen made this beautiful commission for our Holland West project in San Diego last year. We love the way Carrie uses fabric to amplify movement and tension in her work.
Carrie is a St. Louis based painter and sculptor, and her current body of work focuses on materiality, abstraction, and nuanced color relationships. As fabric folds and bends into a dynamic canvas - color and light are refracted in new and unique ways. Swipe to see Carrie at work in her studio and a few of our favorites from her recent body of work.
