Hey, friends! Join us for Art & Sol, our annual free community celebration of creativity, connection and community 🌸

Bring the whole family for an afternoon of hands-on artmaking, including printmaking, clay, collage, chalk art, and a collaborative community mural. Enjoy outdoor games, bubbles, an art gallery featuring youth artwork, free food, and chances to win art kits and Arts Corps merchandise.

Come celebrate the creativity, courage, and imagination of Arts Corps students while making art alongside neighbors, families, teaching artists, and our community. Whether you stay for the whole event or stop by for lunch and an activity, we’d love to see you there!

$25 awards available per person for those who submit artwork.
$50 – $100 awards for selected artists and elected artwork will be featured in the DCYF’s Annual Report to Washington State

What a weekend 💙

We had two incredible Art 4 Life showcases full of creativity, connection and fearless self-expression!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. We love sharing these moments with our community.

On Friday, we joined our incredible partners Amara at , where young campers took the stage to perform original songs they wrote after forming bands in two through the legendary Rain City Rock Camp experience 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾 Seeing campers discover their voices, collaborate with one another and perform with so much confidence was an unforgettable way to celebrate the program.

We kept the celebrations going on Saturday at CAM, where our Art 4 Life campers and interns filled the gallery with artwork that reflected their creativity, growth and unique perspectives. So wonderful to see everyone sharing their work with family, friends and the community 🌸

We’re so proud of every young person who shared a piece of themselves this weekend, and so grateful to our partners, families, supporters and everyone who came out to cheer them on🥰❣️

Thank you for helping make these showcases so meaningful. We can’t wait to see what these young artists create next 🎨🎸✨

Join us Saturday for the Art 4 Life final showing at CAM Maintenance!

This summer at Art 4 Life, teen artists are developing their creative practice, building community and exploring what it means to make art with purpose.

We’re so excited to celebrate the expansion of Art 4 Life through our collaboration with Rain City Rock Camp, Amara and The Vera Project.

Join us on July 17th and 24th as young musicians share what they’ve created through this summer program. This performance is a chance to cheer on youth artists as they take the stage, build confidence and bring their original sounds into the room.

This spring Arts Corps students at the University District Youth Center created a mural through our Interagency programming. Interagency is one of the partners that helps us bring arts learning directly to young people in community-based and alternative education spaces.

Through the mural project, students worked together to imagine, design and create a shared visual piece. Projects like this give young artists a chance to practice collaboration, make creative decisions and leave something meaningful behind in a space they know!

This is a paid, six-week youth internship beginning February 12, and will explore the concept of financial wellness, its significance across our diverse communities, the ways finances impact our lives, and the framework of Community Cultural Wealth. Participants will also learn how to navigate different financial systems through a structured curriculum. The program will prioritize collaboration with and stories from inspiring local leaders, elders, business owners, educators, and entrepreneurs of White Center.

We are looking for:
💡 ~15 young adults ages 16–20 living in unincorporated King County
(Those under 16 do not qualify)
💡 Individuals committed to learning about financial wellness in relation to community well-being
💡 Participants available every Tuesday and Thursday for 90–120 minutes over 6 weeks (February 12–March 26)
💡 Full attendance is mandatory
💡Applicants must submit original responses based on their own experiences (An AI identifier will be used when reviewing essay responses)

Please note: If a participant is under 18, parental consent is required.

We are extending our Art 4 Life summer programming and we are looking for Teaching Artists!

This summer, we are collaborating with Amara Family services at their location in South Seattle - 3505 S Juneau St, Seattle, WA 98118. For two weeks, youth ages 11-18 will create music within a band and learn printmaking art with our established Teaching Artists, Classroom Assistants and Instrument/Vocal Coaches.

Program dates and times are:
July 6th - July 10th 9:30am - 4:00pm
July 13th - July 16th 9:30am - 4:00pm
July 17th 2:00pm- 9:00pm
