Boxed Well Cards

Playoff baseball season is the absolute best for more reasons than one! For me it kicks off "buying season" but maybe not for the guys you might think.

From till about February is an awesome window for baseball card vendor and collectors to get deals on guys with limited spotlight right now. I've had lots of success building inventory in this time window and getting baseball cards for my personal collection.

Huge shoutout to Andrew Morris, we made an easy deal for some BP passes and tickets to the game for his /5 rookie auto! Super fortunate that he took a few minutes out of his BP routine to film some content with me as well.

Crazy this all came together so quick. We had an awesome day at the yard and it's always fun meeting a top notch dude who happens to be in The Show too!

An easy deal with a comic book collector who had a few pieces I needed for the LotR binder. We've had good luck lately on some bulk deals, so stay tuned for more! So pumped to get a little bit closer on one of my favorite PC projects! 🎉🧙🏻‍♂️

We don't always buy basketball but when we do we buy the 🐐

General rule of thumb, if MJ has hair in the image I'm interested in the card. This one is obviously the little brother of the '86 Fleer but the card design, the image of young Mike, and the iconic MJ smile makes this one perfection for me and a must have!

A nice lot we were able to get for a good price. We made some great progress on the Lord of the Rings checklist here! 🤓

Story of the show for me was how shockingly high sports were priced when I was there. At least for items I was interested in, the vibe seemed to be "make me sell it".

Multiple vendors told me they were firm on sticker price as well. Where in my eyes, unless your sticker price is super competitive, you're running a museum not a card business. Which is totally fine by the way but if you're not even willing to take $5-$10 off a $500 card you're not that serious about actually selling stuff.

The '53 set is one of my all time favorites and this Jackie Robinson just hits a little different 🤌🏻

We live in a world where we quickly assign value to people by how much they "have" rather than how much they contribute. I think we can all find a way to learn from and honor the legacy of Roberto Clemente by helping others and contributing to our communities when we have the opportunity.
