Healing isn’t a finish line.
There isn’t a point where you suddenly become “fully healed” and never struggle again.
Instead, healing can be a relationship; a relationship with your body, your emotions, your needs, your boundaries, and your own story.
Some days that relationship may feel strong. Other days, you may feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of what you need.
That doesn’t mean you’ve gone backward.
It means you’re human.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s building greater awareness, compassion, and trust with yourself along the way.
Healing isn’t about arriving. It’s about continuing to come home to yourself.

Rooted in Community isn’t just a bulletin board. It’s a reflection of how I want to show up in my community.
Since opening my office, I’ve wanted this space to be about more than therapy. I wanted it to be a place where people could discover resources, connect with local organizations and providers, learn about community events, and find support beyond the walls of my office.
After attending recent vendor events and making new community connections, my board has continued to grow and honestly, I love seeing it fill up.
Because one provider can’t meet every need. And that’s okay. We don’t have to compete for community. We can connect with it.
We can share resources.
We can make introductions.
We can learn from one another.
We can refer when someone else is a better fit.
We can celebrate each other’s work.
There is room for all of us to grow🦋
When we connect our resources, knowledge, and relationships, the people we serve benefit, too.
That’s what being Rooted in Community means to me.

Monday Mindset- Productivity doesn’t have to mean doing more, faster.
For many neurodivergent brains, productivity is less about “trying harder” and more about finding systems that work with your brain instead of against it.
Visual tools, timers, simplified workspaces, task prioritization, and even body doubling can make tasks feel more manageable and reduce the overwhelm that comes with trying to keep everything in your head.
There isn’t one “right” productivity system. The best strategy is the one that helps you get started, stay engaged, and gives your brain the support it needs.
Swipe through for 3 simple productivity hacks you can try and then tell us:
What’s your favorite productivity hack?
Apps? Lists? Visuals? Body doubling? Something completely different?
Drop yours in the comments so we can learn from each other.

Curious Roots Wellness was at Minnie Ocasio| Unconventional Therapist|TIKB Zumba-Combat-Kick-A-Thon today 🫶🏼
The sense of community was strong. Building new connections and strengthen others was awesome. The knowing that every single person in attendance today was there to support su***de preventation and breaking the stigma behind mental health was powerful.
Minnie and me crossed paths this past year when we both were therapists in the same school (while CRW has just starting) I instantly was drawn to her authentic demeanor, tenacity and vulnerability each time we interacted.
The work Minnie does with her business is NEEDED. I highly recommend if you have not checked out Minnie Ocasio| Unconventional Therapist|TIKB please do so now.
I look forward to ongoing collaborations, referrals and staying rooted in our authentic selves as therapists. Minnie, you are WORTHY of all the things, all the praise, the successes and I am thankful for our paths crossing🫶🏼💚

Your body is constantly communicating with you.
The tension in your shoulders. The racing thoughts. The urge to shut down. The restless energy. The tightness in your chest. These responses aren’t signs that your body is failing you.
They may be your nervous system trying to protect you with the information it has.
Somatic work invites us to become curious about those signals rather than judging or fighting them. Instead of asking, “How do I make this stop?” we can begin asking, “What is my body trying to tell me?”
Healing doesn’t mean forcing your body to behave differently. Sometimes, it begins with learning to listen.
Your body isn’t the problem. It’s part of the story.

You are allowed to rest🤍
Rest isn’t something you have to earn by being productive, checking everything off your list, or reaching the point of exhaustion.
Sometimes regulation looks like slowing down. Sometimes healing looks like doing less.
Sometimes your nervous system needs space to simply be.
Rest is not a reward for productivity. Rest is part of the healing process.
Give yourself permission to pause, breathe, and listen to what your mind and body need today.
You don’t have to do more to be worthy of rest.

Honored to have won a ticket to attend this year’s Alvernia Women’s Council Leadership Summit - thank you Kat Ketter, MPH | Community Health Leader 🫶🏼
From the beautiful grounds at Berks Nature , to showing up with my fidget bag ready (because we do not mask our ADHD here), the empowering messages from each speaker, winning a raffle and ending with a mocktail margarita- today filled up my cup.
I am looking forward to building on connections made today, and growing stronger roots in the community 💖

September 11 | Patriot Day🇺🇸
Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless individuals, families, first responders, and communities forever changed by that day.
We remember the courage, compassion, and resilience shown in the face of unimaginable loss. We honor those who ran toward danger to help others, those who continue to carry the impact of that day, and the families who continue to remember and grieve.
May we never forget the lives, the stories, and the humanity behind September 11.
We will never forget🇺🇸
