Fostering Hope welcomed 505 runners, walkers, and virtual participants for the July 18, 2026 Parrot Head Run race/walk, raising nearly $6,000.

Congratulations to the top finishers!

Male: Alan Graver, Jason Scales, and Jon Smola.

Female: Nicole Giammo, Samantha Schatz, and Polyxeni Philippidou.

Leaders of the Virtual Run were Jeremy Hayes, Vera Spearman, and Mackenzie Sopko.

A generous donor, her daughter, and neighborhood kids hosted a lemonade stand to raise funds for fresh-cut flowers so our residential youth can create bouquets for the Summer Markets.

Every purchase will support WAGS 4 Kids and help grow hope in our community.

How amazing is this creative Giving Tree display? A team from the Cleveland Clinic turned a cubicle into a holiday faux fireplace to support Fostering Hope's Holiday Giving Program last year — bringing in close to $1,000 in gifts – so inspiring!

Your empty wipe containers officially have a brand-new life! Huge shoutout to everyone who donated their empties and made this sustainable craft project possible. Check out the photos to see how a little paint, twine, and flowers transformed them into vases! 🎨✨

It's Parrot Head Run race day! 🌴See you soon in the East Bank of the Flats.

The race begins outside of Good Night John Boy, near ESPN Cleveland. Look for the bright colored flags!

🅿 Parking is available in and around the Flats. There is limited street parking and several pay lots, along with West 9th St. 🚗

Registration and Packet Pick-Up: 8:30 AM
5K & 1 Mile: 10 AM
After Party: 10:30 AM

Dogs and double strollers are not permitted at the race.

Race proceeds benefit connecting & enriching youth who live in residential treatment and foster care with unique experiences of hope and healing.
