This fall, we’re grabbing our passports, packing our sketchbooks, and boarding flights for a trip that’s equal parts education, connection, and design inspiration: We’re headed to Rödinghausen, Germany—home of Ballerina Kitchens Ballerina-Küchen .
What’s so special about a factory tour? If you’ve ever tried to explain the value of German engineering to a client, we know there’s nothing like seeing it for ourselves. The Ballerina-Küchen headquarters is the kind of place that makes us rethink what’s possible in kitchen design. It’s a 320,000 square foot production space (yes, you read that right), rows of fully automated machinery, and a showroom so sleek it feels like stepping into a design magazine.
Our timing is no accident. We’re coordinating our trip with Küchenmeile—Germany’s legendary “Kitchen Mile.” For one week every fall, the whole region throws open its doors to reveal the year’s freshest collections, boldest innovations, and newest trends. If we want to be first in line for what’s next in kitchen design, this is where we want to be.
And because this is VRD, there’s more than just showrooms and seminars. We’ll be exploring the German countryside together, sharing meals, and making memories we can’t get from any “virtual tour.” These trips are about building our network, deepening our expertise, and making relationships that support our business goals.

Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, are excited to reveal the finalists for the 37th annual ARTS Awards — the home industry’s premier program recognizing outstanding achievement and innovation.
Since its founding in 1988, ART has been a dynamic force supporting manufacturers, retailers, and representatives through education, networking, and programs like the ARTS Awards that celebrate excellence across the industry.
This year, a committee of industry experts reviewed hundreds of nominations, selecting a group of finalists who exemplify the creativity, talent, and passion shaping the future of home design. These finalists will advance to the next judging stage this fall, where a separate panel will determine the winners. The awards will be presented at the gala on Friday, January 8, 2027, at the Hilton Anatole during Total Home & Gift Market and Lightovation.
