Some events are remembered for what happened. Others are remembered for how they made people feel.

From the first arrivals to the final conversations, Equity 4 Athletes brought together young athletes, families, educators, coaches, community leaders, and organizations around one shared belief: every child deserves access to opportunity—on and off the court.

These moments are just a glimpse of a day filled with connection, learning, and community.

Because real impact isn’t measured by a single moment—it’s built through many. 🏀

What a journey. We led the Favorite Chef competition from the opening stretch, reclaimed 1st after falling to 4th, and then held the #1 spot until the final two seconds.

While we didn’t bring home the title, we walked away with something just as valuable—a community that showed up, believed in the mission, and reminded me that Chef Up North is bigger than one competition.

We did earn a spot in the Wildcard Round, but we’ve decided not to continue. We’ve got some exciting things coming together behind the scenes, and it’s time to shift our focus toward what’s next.

This journey brought us to WWLP-22News, introduced Chef Up North to new supporters, grew our community, and opened doors we never expected.

To everyone who voted, shared, donated, commented, prayed, and encouraged me along the way—thank you. You carried me farther than I ever could have gone alone.

A Springfield chef is seeking community support as he competes for the title of “Favorite Chef,” a competition that recognizes culinary talent and community involvement.

Last night’s event was an incredible experience, and we’re thankful to Cindy Gaynor-Harper and for inviting Chef Up North to be part of it.

Serving the community is always an honor, but being part of an event that’s creating opportunities beyond the game makes it even more meaningful.

We’re excited about what’s ahead and thankful for the relationships being built along the way.
