Ok, so someone told me I might be a little crazy for already planning a Christmas party when it’s not even October yet. 🤣🎄

And listen… I understand how it looks!

It’s still warm outside, Halloween hasn’t happened yet, and meanwhile I’m over here thinking about Christmas trees, cocktails, catering, décor, entertainment, and party timelines.

But this is actually a completely normal time to start planning a holiday event!

A great Christmas party doesn’t magically come together in December. Venues start booking. Caterers fill their calendars. Bartenders, photographers, entertainment, and rental companies get reserved. Décor needs to be sourced, invitations need to go out, menus need to be planned, and about a hundred tiny details have to come together behind the scenes.

For larger or professionally planned holiday parties, September and October are actually great months to get started.

Will I admit that planning Christmas while it’s still warm outside feels a little ridiculous? Absolutely. 😂

Will I be incredibly happy in December when everything is booked, organized, and ready?

Also absolutely.

So no, I’m not rushing Christmas.

I’m an event planner. We plan ahead so you don’t have to panic later. 😉🎄✨

🦋 A Butterfly Tea Party Brought to Life 🦋

There’s something incredibly special about watching an event go from an idea on paper to a fully finished experience. 💜

This purple butterfly tea party was filled with so many thoughtful details—from the layered pink and purple tablescape and teacup florals to the gorgeous balloon installation, beautiful grazing spread, custom cake, and all of the little touches that brought the theme together.

As the planner and designer, I loved getting to build the overall vision, coordinate all of the moving pieces, and then watch an amazing group of local vendors bring their individual talents to the celebration.

Does anyone else get butterflies before doing something they absolutely LOVE? Because event-day-eve gets me every single time. 😂💜

The day before a big event, I’m excited, a little nervous, and mentally running through timelines, décor, vendors, setup, backup plans, and about 100 tiny details at once. Thank the heavens for ADHD. It allows me the gift of having 50 open “tabs” in my head all day!

But it’s the best kind of nervous. A specific kind of anticipation.

In some ways, the day before an event is almost as exciting to me as event day itself. Everything I’ve spent weeks or months imagining, designing, organizing, and planning is finally about to become real.

I genuinely love planning events. I love taking an idea and figuring out how all the little pieces need to come together. I love the details. I love the problem-solving. I love designing. I love organizing. And yes, I even love the controlled chaos that comes with making it all happen.

There aren’t many things in life that I can confidently say, “I’m really good at this, and I absolutely love doing it.”

Event planning is one of them.

Tomorrow is another event day, and those happy nerves have officially arrived. 🦋💜

Now excuse me while I check my timeline for the 17th time just to make sure absolutely nothing has changed since the 16th. 😂

✨ LOOKING FOR A FAUX CAKE FOR A STYLED PHOTOSHOOT 🎂📸

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a local baker, cake decorator, or creative who can make a beautiful faux/display cake for a professional styled photoshoot I’m putting together for Reinvented Events on September 30th.

I’ve attached an inspiration photo of the style I’m looking for. 🤍

The vision is:
🌸 Soft ivory/cream base
🌸 Blush pink piped florals
🌿 Delicate green botanical details
✨ Subtle pearl details
🎂 Romantic, garden-inspired, elegant feel

The cake does not need to be edible, it will strictly be used as a styling piece for the photoshoot.

I am absolutely open to paying for the cake, so please send me your pricing if this is something you create.

The shoot will be done by a professional photographer, and if you’re a baker/decorator looking to build your portfolio, I’m also happy to credit and tag your business when the photos are shared and provide professional images featuring your work for you to use in your own marketing, with photographer credit.

A little behind-the-scenes look at what event planning actually looks like. 🦋💜

I’ve been playing with tablescapes for the upcoming Purple Butterfly Tea Party, and I’m loving watching all of the little details start to come together.

For this design, I’m experimenting with layers of lavender and soft pink, vintage-inspired teacups, gold details, delicate florals, and plenty of texture. I especially love using the teacups as floral arrangements, they add that whimsical tea-party feeling without making the table feel overly formal.

This is one of my favorite parts of planning: setting everything up, moving pieces around, changing heights, adjusting colors, and seeing how the design feels together before event day. Sometimes what looks perfect in my head needs a little tweaking once it’s actually on the table—and that’s exactly why I do mockups like this.

The goal for this party is to make an 8-year-old and her friends feel like they’ve stepped into their own little butterfly garden tea party. 🫖🌸🦋

And this is only the table… I can’t wait to see the entire design come together on party day!

Hi! I’m Jessica, the owner and event planner behind Reinvented Events.

I’ve always loved bringing people together. In fact, my passion for planning started when I hosted my very first dinner party at just 14 years old. That love for creating meaningful experiences never left me—it simply grew into the business I have today.

Before launching Reinvented Events, I worked as an Executive Assistant for a web developer. That role taught me the importance of organization, communication, problem-solving, and staying calm when things don’t go according to plan. Those skills have become the foundation of how I serve every client.

One of the things that truly sets my business apart is my signature 5 Senses Method. My inspiration came from an unexpected place—my daughter. Learning about sensory processing through her autism diagnosis changed the way I think about events. I realized that the most memorable celebrations aren’t just beautiful; they engage the senses and create moments that people genuinely remember. Every event I design is thoughtfully planned around sight, sound, scent, taste, and touch to create an experience that’s both intentional and unforgettable.

When I’m not planning events, you’ll usually find me camping with my husband, Chris, and our kids. Those weekends remind me why celebrations matter so much—they’re about making memories with the people you love.

One thing people often tell me after meeting me is that I wasn’t what they expected. I’m completely covered in tattoos, and while my appearance sometimes catches people off guard, they quickly discover someone who is genuinely kind, easy to talk to, and incredibly passionate about creating exceptional events. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, cared for, and excited throughout the planning process.
