The National Hoops Foundation Summer Showcase is bringing together the 978ers Basketball League, Newkirk Draft League (NDL), and The Summer Draft League for an unforgettable day of elite basketball.

Watch some of the top boys and girls high school talent from across the region compete in six showcase matchups as these premier leagues go head-to-head.

After three exciting weeks of high school girls basketball, the Newkirk Draft League is excited to share the current Top 5 leaders in every statistical category we track.

These young ladies have competed at a high level while building relationships that extend far beyond the basketball court. We’re proud of their hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment to making each other better every week.

Another exciting week in the Newkirk Draft League High School Summer Session!

Saniya Abdul-Ali made her summer debut and dominated on both ends of the floor, earning NDL Girls Player of the Week honors.

She finished with:

💪 7 Rebounds
🎯 8 Assists
🔒 4 Steals
🚫 7 Blocks

Her outstanding all-around performance helped Team Almodovar earn a big Week 3 victory. A complete game from one of the league’s top playmakers and defenders. 🔥🖤

Another incredible night at the Newkirk Draft League High School Summer Session, featuring two overtime games.

Jaylen “J-Roc” McIver put on a historic performance, leading his team back from a 21-point halftime deficit and finishing with an NDL record 41 points the most ever scored in league history.

With the July Live Period officially behind us, we’re expecting every team to be at full strength as we head into another exciting week of competition.

If you’re unable to make your game, please contact your coach or me as soon as possible. Beginning this week, coaches have the right to permanently replace players who are unavailable or fail to communicate.

Let’s finish the regular season strong. See everyone at the gym! 🔥🖤

After two weeks of exciting competition, we’re excited to unveil the Top 5 statistical leaders in every category from the Newkirk Draft League Boys Summer Session.

These players have set the tone early, but with plenty of basketball still to be played, every game matters. Who will hold on to the top spots? 🔥🏀

Another exciting week of basketball is in the books for our girls during the Newkirk Draft League Summer Session! 🔥🏀

Rashyia Sullivan did it again, putting together another dominant Week 2 performance.

She finished the night with 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 steals, leading her team to a 2-0 start this summer.

The competition is heating up, and the girls continue to put on a show every week. 👏🏽🖤

You will find both the boys’ and girls’ schedules. Please note the following changes to the girls’ schedule:

● Team Squeez’d is now Team 28.5.
● Team Josiah is now Team Barron.

We understand that many players are currently in the AAU live period. If you know you’re going to miss a game, please communicate with your coach as soon as possible. This allows your team to add a free agent for the game you’ll be missing and helps prevent forfeits.

All teams will qualify for the playoffs, which will take place August 17–21.
