I got so scared to just let one day go by… i am embarrassed to admit it. I was so pint up with this idea of seeing my dream fade if i just let go a bit. The funny thing is i truly am i a believer in open handed living, and this i was gripping so si hard! So how did it feel!?! Incredible! I also gave myself a rule not to talk about art that day too! To truly be off! It felt like parts of my marriage were healing and being a mom felt truly joyful! So if you feel the tightness of make it work, and do more remember that rest is productive!

Does anyone else struggle with the inability to concentrate on creating in the summer?
How do you balance it?!?

During the school year I seem to have a really good beat on how to be productive, when to work, how to live my life …. and schedule it. Summer just feels like anything goes at any time. Plus, bonus if you feel Mom guilt about not spending enough time with your kids, and so you push your business and your art to the side. Also shout out to Modernized Visions for creating my soon to be website, handing something off is always a dream! I can’t wait to see my photos too!! Yesterday i picked up the book “the Way of the Wildflower,”
By Ruth Chou Simons i hadn’t picked it up in months, but i felt drawn to sit down and read it. The sections title was “when it feels impossible,” the section was about waiting, and trusting in God. It had so many truths, that i thought were about something else, but i was listening. Later that day i went to a friends house and that book was on the table. It reminded me again of my morning time spent in truth. Then i opened my email and felt a rush of disappointment, i was shocked that I didn’t get in. Today i wanted to write all of my emotions out and just be upset, but then i realized this is an INTENTIONAL plan!! In her book Ruth writes “when we hoped for crumbs on the porch, God set a before us and welcomed us in.” I need to realize i am already at the table and feasting on his grace!

It could be everyone or it could just be me. Sometimes I am so inspired to write posts, and other times i feel very little excitement, because i dread the outcome. I struggle with the weight of summer, i want it to be fun and full. But that doesn’t feel relaxing, but i also fear losing momentum. Well i just need to trust that i am not in control of momentum. That is something i have to give up on, and enjoy the time to work steadily and not rushed! To also take breaks!

Since I was three years old, I would stare out my window, look at this 12 story hotel in our small town and dream about fixing it up. You have to be brave to start your dream downtown. Life is fast, and being downtown reminds us to slow down, it is filled with stories and history you can feel. So today i woke up, went to the Old Capitol Farmers Market 🌱 bought all the flowers thank you to Bushel & Peck Wildflowers| Mt. Zion, Il Flower Farm bought the sweetest prints from Hannah Struck and got a cute cute mug from Rosie Gale | Potter in Illinois followed and proceeded from the best lattes made at Arrowroot Coffee all this to say! I was smiling on the way home, knowing i invested in and knowing it MATTERS!!

So thankful for Bailey Made Art Co | The Happy Art Company seriously!!! Like thank you! I had no clue, and honestly not worth the 150K fine! I had the best trip and these paintings take hours and hours so i am honestly ok with getting the time back! I also have London, Paris, and Chicago to paint so yay! Let me know if there are problems with those too!!! lol!!!🤣 💀🙈🤞

I used to not understand, when I would follow someone, and they wouldn’t follow me back. Or if I commented on something, and they didn’t follow me back. I promise it’s not intentional, but I have to safeguard my time on this app. Instagram growth is incredible but with it, comes time.
