Not sure which option is right for you? Ask your Alps pharmacist for an OTC recommendation based on your symptoms, medications, and individual needs. Your health deserves personalized care, even for the little things. 💙
What does “take with food” actually mean? 💊🍽️
When your prescription says to take a medication with food, it can be for a few reasons. Food may help your body absorb the medication properly while also helping reduce side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting.
The same goes for medications labeled “take on an empty stomach.” Taking these at the right time can help with proper absorption and how well the medication works. This typically means taking it 30 minutes before eating or 2 hours after eating, depending on the medication.

🎉 A pharmacy win for Missouri!
Vaccination authority expansion has passed, giving Missouri pharmacists expanded authority to prescribe and administer newly approved vaccines, including RSV vaccines.
That means for eligible patients, you may be able to skip the doctor’s visit and get your RSV vaccine right at your pharmacy. 💉
More access. More convenience. Better preventive care.
