GFL is proud to support the 2026 Big Muddy Clean Sweep, led by Missouri River Relief! 🌊

For 25 years, dedicated volunteers have taken to the Missouri River to haul out trash across nearly 200 miles. We’re honored to play our part by donating roll-off bins to ensure every bit of waste collected is properly managed and disposed of.

Thank you to all the incredible volunteers keeping our waterways clean!

Here are a few tips to keep your bin clean in the midst of the dog days of summer!

Football season is around the corner. 🏈 Don't forget these reminders when cleaning up after the tailgate:

⭐ Set Up a 2-Bin System: Place trash and recycling bins side-by-side.

⭐Empty Before You Toss: Liquid ruins recyclable materials. Pour out leftover ice and drinks before tossing cans and bottles into the recycling bin.

⭐Know What Belongs: Dirty paper plates, greasy napkins, plastic cutlery, and cups go straight into the trash; they cannot be recycled.

⭐Cool the Grill Safely: Let charcoal cool completely. Never pour hot ash into household trash, plastic bags, or standard stadium dumpsters.

⭐Run a 60-Second Sweep: Before heading to your seats or going inside for kickoff, do a quick pass to catch stray bottle caps, napkins, and wrappers.

A few end of summer reminders:

❇️ Use caution when passing GFL trucks, especially through narrow streets. Remember to drive slow, check for workers and oncoming traffic, and ensure there is plenty of clearance.
❇️ On hot days, our drivers tend to start their routes early to beat the heat. Help them out by setting out your bins early, ideally the night before.
