We almost always try to post only happy and uplifting things, but this is important. We see a lot of horrendous things in the rescue world, but as Sara has so eloquently put it, we don't always know the whole story. Please check on your friends, neighbors, and family. Life can be hard and we all need each other. 💞

WELCOME GRAHAM TO THE RESCUE! 🥰

Named after the location of one of our fave shelter partners (and not the politician), this approx. 8 month old, 15 lbs skinny boy is all cuteness and love!

He was found as a stray and still needs to get a rabies shot and neutered, but otherwise, this little guy is good with people and other dogs of all sizes and ages. Currently, he is fostered in the DFW area with Mayfly, and the two of them LOVE to wrestle and play together. He also loves to be in your lap and snuggle, but is quickly gaining the confidence to explore and wander on his own.

The only reason we could save him was because one of our fosters stepped up, so if you are done with all the summer vacays, the kids are back in school, and you want to help out - we would LOVE to get more fosters to help save more BCs!

🚨🚨🚨🚨 LOST PUP IN HUTTO AREA - LINDY GOT LOOSE !!! 🚨🚨🚨🚨

Lindy is lost! She jumped her new foster's fence after hearing gunshots and took off running. She was last seen near Spring Valley St in Hutto TX.

Lindy is a 57 lb, high mix pup - looks like a hound mix. She is microchipped but was not wearing her GPS collar at the time. She is fairly friendly but may be intimidated by new people so please don't chase. If you see her, please reach out to naomi @ bcsave.org or allbordercollierescue @ gmail.com, and we'll ping the foster.

#1: This beautiful red boy needs help getting from Fort Worth to Killeen. One or two drivers would be great.

#2: Small young pup needs to get from Graham TX (Young County Humane Society) to Bonham TX to go to his new foster. One to three drivers would probably work great!

LOOK AT MAYFLY'S GLOW-UP!!!

Mayfly, born to Momma Bug at the end of April, is now a little over three months old and about 15 lbs, and WHAT A LOOKER!!!!

She has a gorgeous smooth coat with beautiful silver and grey highlights in her fur, especially her ears. We think she's mixed with husky based on her coloring and markings. Whatever she is though - she is a beautiful little girl! And those ears!!!

Besides being absolutely fabulous, Mayfly is also a really stable, confident puppy. She gets along great with people and other dogs and loves to snuggle. She will follow her person if that's what you want, but she is confident enough to go explore on her own. She has no fear of new things and would be great in an active family.

Mayfly is already crate and leash savvy, and is perfecting her potty-training. She is starting to show interest in toys and rides well in the car. She evens sits nicely for meals (as evidenced in these photos)! If you are looking for a dog and people friendly pup to take on new adventures, Mayfly is your girl!

WELCOME SOME OF OUR LATEST BCSAVE'RRRS!

Say hello to Bear (black and white), Mochi (blond and white) and Shade (brown and black)!

Bear (2 yrs, 45 lbs) was found by a rescue angel several months ago. Diagnosed with parvo, his rescue angel got him healthy and is now looking for a FURever home for him. Bear is smart, loving, loyal and gets along with dogs, kids, and adults.

Mochi (9 mo, 25 lbs) was a stray that was rescued by another rescue angel that asked us to step in to help find her a breed knowledgeable home. We are still getting to know her but she is very affectionate, dog playful and has learned to be good around cats.

Shade (2 yrs, 55 lbs) was found as a stray in Fort Worth in late June with a broken rear leg. We just got him to a foster home and will begin his healing journey when he sees our ortho vet next week. So far, he's been loving and playful though he does not like his crate 🤣.

WHO'S THAT MERLE?!?

Ruben was rescued from a Central Tx shelter a few weeks ago. We have found Ruben to be an energetic and playful young pup. He is very smart and loving with his people, but can be a bit shy meeting new people. He loves to with play with the two small dogs in the house, learned to use a dog door very quickly and is crate trained. He has a great toy drive and loves to play with squeaky toys and soccer balls.

Ruben is looking for his FURever home, and would do great in a moderately active family that can give him the time he needs to learn to trust you. Once that happens, you'll have a best friend for life!!!

Ruben is being fostered Georgetown (north of Austin), TX but is available to travel for the right family! 🐶💙

THE ONLY KATYDID YOU WILL *WANT* IN YOUR HOUSE!

Katydid (Katy) and her littermates were born at the end of April to Momma Bug. Katy (approx. 3 mo old and 12 lbs) is one of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet. She’s curious, playful, observant, and self assured. She doesn’t startle easy and if she does, recovers quickly. She’s not fearful of vacuums, storms, or fireworks. She loves to sleep on her back cuddled in a fuzzy blanket after a long day. She will sleep all through the night in bed. She isn’t a fan of the crate but is improving little by little.

Katy is a more laid back puppy than some of her littermates but has a nice balance of also wanting to play. She would like to have a doggy companion, as she LOVES other dogs. She is doing great with potty training and leash training. Katy is also a people-loving pup through and through. She wants to be where you are, doing what you are doing. She's super sweet, super cuddly, and a good amount of energy!

Katy was confirmed through a vet eye specialist exam to be blind in her right eye. The condition does not require any special care and based on what the vet has told us, is not uncommon in large litters. Katy is not at all bothered by her "bad" eye and it in no way impacts her activity, development or life! Katy is currently being fostered in Rockwall, TX (DFW area).
