It’s Wishlist Wednesday, and we’re coming to you with an urgent request! The survivors staying in our emergency shelter program are in need of clothing in sizes 2X and 3X. Please visit our Amazon wishlist at the link in our bio to meet this need or reach out about donating clothing that is new with tags.
Birthdays should be filled with cake, laughter, and happy memories, even when a child is experiencing the instability caused by domestic violence. This month, a young boy staying in our Nights of Safety emergency shelter celebrated his birthday with his mom and older siblings. Thanks to a generous cake donation from Paris Baguette that arrived at just the right time, his family was able to celebrate with birthday cake together. We also made sure everyone had swimsuits so they could spend the day splashing and laughing in the motel pool. For a few hours, he wasn’t a child who had fled an unsafe home. He was simply a kid celebrating his birthday.

Paris Baguette recently opened a new location in Olivette— the brand’s first bakery in the St. Louis area! In addition to being great news for anyone with a sweet tooth, this is also great news for ALIVE’s clients. The franchise owner and her team package up all of the leftover pastries, sandwiches, and salads at the end of each day for the clients staying in our NOS shelter program. We have had this partnership for almost two months, and our clients are so glad to have fresh, delicious food. Thank you, Paris Baguette!
