This news is so heartbreaking 💔 Miss Fannie was so kind and supportive during my time in Meridian. She was a true helping hand in the community and for decades —helped shape the city for the better

Former city councilwoman and long time community leader Fannie Johnson has passed away. Statements are pouring in from both city and county leaders who are grateful for the 40 years of service she provided the community. This is an ongoing investigation and details will continue to come in as the investigation continues. WTOK sends our condolences to the Johnson family.

A devastating story out of Allendale County, SC that's rooted in incredible strength and love. ❤
Just one day after celebrating six years of marriage-- Shavontay Elmore and his wife, Trevonna, were hit head-on by a drunk driver on Highway 301. Trevonna tragically lost her life-- leaving behind her husband and two young daughters.
Known for their tireless community work and philanthropy-- Shavontay is now turning immense grief into a message of healing with his new book-- "6 Days of Love: The Final Love Story of Trevonna Elmore."
So grateful Shavontay stopped by this afternoon.
