I am so proud to announce that I have a painting in the 2026 Opening Party group exhibit at the on Governor’s Island in New York City! Many thanks to for encouraging me to apply! She also has a piece in the show, as well as fellow St. Louisan !
The opening is today from 2-5 PM Eastern.
406A Comfort Road, New York, NY.
Accessible by ferry from the Battery at 10 South Street (Manhattan) or Pier 6 at Brooklyn Bridge Park (Brooklyn)
I’ll be celebrating from STL though…
About the painting:
“Always Be Weather Aware” is intuitive and layered, like most of Rabus’ landscape abstractions. This was completed in the wake of a devastating tornado that ripped through his city, St. Louis, in May 2025. Events like these are increasing in number and scope. Rabus alludes to charts, maps and colorful graphics dominating television weather media with his curved lines and waves.”

This is High Desert Airwaves.
Inspired in part by paranormal, late night AM radio broadcaster Art Bell who hosted from the “high desert of Parumph, Nevada”, this 48” x 36” acrylic on panel pays tribute to another kind of night comfort- alone, on the road, accompanied with the crackle of this storyteller of the odd, the otherworldly, and the mysterious. Art interviewed everyone from conspiracy theorists to UFO abductees to psychics from west and east of the Rockies.
See it in person at in St. Louis thru June.

Tonight’s the night! My first gallery solo show since 2018 opens with new works!
Something of a breakthrough is brewing in the making of these pieces, the first suite of paintings that are inspired by the dawn of the digital age - the years 1979-1983, which coincide with the dawn of my life.
6-8 PM at in the Grand Center Arts District, St. Louis, MO.
