We are excited to share that over the span of 15 years the R. Whittington Foundation has just donated its 30th set of washers and dryers to St. Louis City/ Jefferson County (grades K-5) elementary schools! This impactful donation also includes care packages filled with a 6-month supply of detergent and softener, fresh school uniforms, personal hygiene items, and essential school supplies.

This generous gift not only promotes hygiene but also alleviates the burden on schools to provide additional uniforms and manage laundry needs. Check out this testimonial from one of the impacted parents:

“I was really in need of clean clothes for my family and Mrs. Hibbler did not hesitate to invite us to bring some things to the school to be washed. This was a big help and lifted some weight off our shoulders. Thank you guys for going the extra mile for us. We appreciate it.”

With access to these washers and dryers, staff can focus more on education and support rather than on facility challenges. Clean clothes boost children’s confidence and dignity, helping to reduce bullying and empower them to thrive in their learning environment.
