Empowered by everything I've survived and strengthened by every challenge I've overcome, I refuse to let my past define my future. I stand confidently in my truth, use my voice with purpose, and strive to create meaningful change. My resilience isn't just part of my story—it's the foundation of my strength.

This July 4th, America will celebrate 250 years of freedom. 🎆🎇🇺🇸
But while the fireworks explode overhead...
A woman will be beaten by someone who claims to love her.
A child will be sexually assaulted.
A teenager will be trafficked for profit.
And most of it will happen behind closed doors while the rest of us celebrate "freedom."
Patriotism isn't just loving your country. It's having the courage to confront what your country still tolerates.
A nation cannot call itself fully free while violence, exploitation, and abuse steal freedom from millions of its own people.
Celebrate the holiday. But don't let the fireworks drown out the cries of those still waiting to experience the freedom we so proudly commemorate.
The measure of America isn't how loudly we celebrate freedom. It's how relentlessly we fight for those who still don't have it.

Human trafficking.
Domestic violence.
Sexual assault.
We love reacting to the aftermath.
We hold vigils.
Share hotlines.
Express outrage.
But far less often do we confront the environments that make these violations possible.
Poverty.
Misogyny.
Trauma.
Isolation.
Power imbalances.
Systems that protect reputation, authority, and comfort over people.
Then we act shocked when harm keeps happening.
If prevention makes us uncomfortable, maybe that’s because prevention requires change—not just sympathy.
The Church doesn’t need better crisis response. It needs prevention.
Domestic violence. Sexual assault. Human trafficking.
That means confronting misogyny. Calling out spiritual abuse. Rejecting over-spiritualization. Stopping theology that protects power more than people.
Because if people only feel safe after harm happens… we failed long before the altar call.
How the church handles domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking needs to change.
And if we’re being honest, some of the problem is internal. Bad theology, legalism, religious dogma, and weaponized Scripture have too often been used to excuse abuse, silence victims, and protect institutions over people.
Faith should never be a tool of control—it should be a place of safety, truth, and accountability.
