IYKYK…

ONE MORE DAY.

As the unofficial Chief Voting Officer, full-time Marketing Director, part-time professional nagger of friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and possibly a few innocent bystanders... we’ve officially made it to the final day of
St. Louis Magazine A-List voting.

For the past month, I’ve sent reminders, made graphics, filmed videos, recruited children, bribed spouses with guilt, and generally dedicated an unreasonable amount of my life to asking people to click a few buttons.

We’re in the home stretch.

If you’d like to help me justify the last 30 days of my life and potentially keep my job, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d take a minute to vote for some amazing businesses. A few are clients I proudly work with, and others are simply local businesses I love supporting because they’re run by great people doing great things.

The good news:
• Voting is free
• Voting is easy
• It takes just a few minutes
• You do not have to watch me attempt to become a backup dancer for Taylor Swift (which is fortunate for everyone involved)

And if you’ve already voted, a like, comment, share, tag, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, or general spreading of the word is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for supporting local businesses, local teams, and one slightly exhausted marketing director who is ready for this voting season to cross the finish line.

Companies I am voting for:
Chesterfield, MO Dentist | Family & Cosmetic Care
Otto Orthodontics
Jason B. Amato, MD Dermatology
The Shack Breakfast & Lunch
Dr. Shady Hawatmeh - Osiris Medical Spa
Britt Moose | Speech Therapist, Mom + Author
Ashley O'Hare and Burn Boot Camp Manchester, MO
Lou Fusz Automotive Network

A little over a year ago, I started a business because I saw two needs that I couldn’t stop thinking about and a problem I was passionate about solving.

The first was that many business owners needed help with marketing, strategy, and ex*****on and didn’t want to have to micromanage a marketing agency they hired. They wanted someone they could trust and who would get sh*t done.

The second was that I knew talented women who wanted meaningful work, but needed flexibility because of the season of life they were in. Some were raising children and ready to re-enter the work force and others wanted work that fit their life instead of the other way around. There seemed to be this pool of women that were looking for a unicorn within the workplace, me included.

So COMB Collective started with a simple belief and something I wanted to prove:

Moms Matter.Their Skills Matter. And they can make a difference for small businesses.

After stepping away from my corporate career to raise my four children, I learned firsthand that talent and ambition don’t disappear.

I’ll be honest. I was nervous to get back out there. But I also knew that just because I had taken time away from Corporate America didn’t mean my skills no longer mattered or weren’t needed. I knew I still had something to contribute. I just needed to find a different way to do it.
Today, COMB is becoming the bridge between those two needs.

My vision is to build a collective of talented women who bring their skills and experience together to help small businesses grow. Whether someone’s background is in marketing, communications, design, administration, project management, or websites there is value in those skills and experiences.

One thing I feel strongly about: taking time away from a traditional career DOES NOT erase your talent, work ethic, or potential. I think it actually gives you a different perspective and a new set of strengths.

If you know a woman who is looking for PT work or looking for an opportunity to contribute her talents, I would love to connect with her.

I would be grateful if you could help me spread the word by sharing this post or tag someone who comes to mind. Thank

Today is extra special because I get to celebrate and introduce someone who has been a key part of COMB Collective behind the scenes since last fall.

has been supporting client work across social media creation, scheduling, and day-to-day ex*****on. She is incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and the kind of person who keeps everything running smoothly without needing the spotlight.

On a personal note, she’s also my sister, which makes this even more meaningful.

She’s been going along with my crazy ideas since we were younger… including the time I decided it was a good idea to measure the length of her hair with a tape measure. You can see how that turned out.

We’ve gone from growing up together to now working alongside each other, building something with intention and purpose. That’s not something I take for granted.

Jennifer was the first person to join and I’m especially grateful for the trust, consistency, and partnership she brings to the work every day.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes to make things look seamless for our clients, and she is a big part of that.

Happy Birthday, Jennifer. Grateful for you in more ways than one.

In the middle of running a business, managing clients, and keeping everything moving, it’s easy to stay in “go mode” all day.

But this morning, I stepped away for 45 minutes to sit in a school gym at 9am and watch my son perform.

That’s the part people don’t always talk about. Building a business isn’t always easy. It’s not all wins and highlight moments. It takes discipline, tradeoffs, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work.

But the flexibility to show up for moments like that? That’s the reason I built it this way.

As we head into the busiest season for working parents… field trips, end-of-year projects, performances, field day, and everything in between… the calendar fills up fast.

And somehow, we’re expected to be in two places at once.

So I’m curious…
How are you making it work?
How do you carve out time to show up for your kids while still keeping your work moving forward?

Drop your tips below.

A big milestone for 🎉

Over 200% Instagram growth in under a year and now crossing the 1K follower mark.

This is what happens when strong providers, a committed in-office team, and a clear, consistent marketing strategy all work together. From patient experience to content to brand positioning, every piece matters.

We’ve had the opportunity to support Osiris behind the scenes managing their marketing and social media, helping bring their story, results, and expertise to life online. When that ex*****on aligns with a team that shows up every day and delivers for their patients, growth follows.

A huge congrats to the Osiris Medical Spa team for building something that continues to gain traction the right way.

Some days, running a business looks like this.

Laptop open on the sidelines. Hotspot on. Emails in between school pick up and sports practices, while still catching the moments that matter.

It is not always a perfectly structured office or uninterrupted time. It is learning how to operate in both worlds, showing up for your clients and your family at the same time.

Grateful for the flexibility to build a business this way. And even more grateful for clients who trust me to take care of their marketing, strategy, and social media so I can be present where it matters most.

This is what it really looks like behind the scenes.

If you are a working parent, I’d love to hear how you juggle it all in your world.
