National 4-H Week starts this Sunday, October 4th!

We’ve got three great opportunities to celebrate 4-H this week:

💚 MONDAY — Go Green/Spirit Day
Wear your green and show your 4-H spirit! Encourage your youth, volunteers, families, and staff to join in.

💚 THURSDAY — Thankful Thursday
Take a moment to recognize the people who make 4-H possible. Give a shoutout to your volunteers, donors, parents, partners, and everyone who supports our youth.

📸 FRIDAY — How It Started vs. How It’s Going
Show the long-term impact of 4-H! Highlight a youth member, alumni, volunteer, or someone whose life has been positively impacted by 4-H. Share where their journey began and where it has taken them.

And don’t forget to tag Florida 4-H () so they can help share your stories!

Let’s fill social media with the people and stories that show why 4-H is more than a club, it’s an experience that can make an impact for a lifetime. 💚

You might be a livestock kid if you spend more time on your cow's hair than you do on your own.

The Martin County 4-H Fishing Club was proud to participate in Keep Martin Beautiful’s International Coastal Cleanup Day at Sandsprit Park!

Our 4-H members spent the morning picking up 39lbs of trash to help keep our waterways, shoreline, and community clean. After the cleanup was finished, the kids enjoyed a couple of hours doing what they love most- fishing!

In 4-H, we believe in “Making the Best Better.” For our Fishing Club, that means more than learning how to catch fish. It means taking care of the places we love to fish so they can remain healthy and enjoyable for generations to come.

Thank you, Ethan, Kayla, Kai, Olivia, Lucas, James, and Amilya! Your thoughtful words represented your clubs and our entire Martin County 4-H program so well. We are proud of the way you stepped up, spoke up, and represented yourselves and 4-H!

And thank you, Commissioners, for your continued support of UF IFAS Extension Martin County.

Did you know Martin County 4-H is the only youth shooting sports program in Martin County serving ages 8-18?

Our shooting sports program offers youth the opportunity to participate in both archery and r***e while developing skills that reach far beyond the range.

Through 4-H, youth learn that success isn't just about hitting a target. It's about setting goals, practicing, learning from challenges, and having the confidence to keep improving.
