Thanks for The Shout Out Tehachapi Tourism Commission! We can’t agree more.
Step back in time at the Tehachapi Train Depot, it is the perfect place to explore the stories, artifacts, and engineering behind one of California’s most iconic rail communities.
Whether you’re a train enthusiast, history lover, or just looking for a unique local stop, the depot offers a glimpse into the past while celebrating the legacy of the rails that continue to connect our community.

This is a great place to volunteer, learn about the history of Tehachapi and meet/work with great people.
The Heritage League is in urgent need of volunteers and docents. If you can spare a couple of hours on a Saturday or Sunday, please contact Judy Reynolds at 661-331-5626. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
