🚶♀️💗 Want to support your health and longevity? Sometimes the simplest habits can make a meaningful difference.
New research highlighted by Harvard Health found that people who walked more—or walked at a faster pace—tended to live longer. In the study of more than 64,000 adults, walking 7,500–10,000 steps per day was associated with the lowest death rates. But there was also encouraging news for anyone who struggles to fit in that many steps: walking faster was associated with benefits even at lower daily step counts.
Researchers suggested that maintaining a brisk pace of about 90–100 steps per minute for 30 minutes a day may be a promising goal for longevity.
🌸 Why is this especially important for women?
As women move through their 40s, 50s and beyond, being physically active becomes an important part of supporting cardiovascular health, weight management, strength, mobility and overall healthy aging.
And the good news? You don't have to become a runner or spend hours at the gym. 👟 A daily walk is one of the simplest ways to get moving.
At Magnolia Health, Brooke Golwas, APRN-CNP, and Kelsie Estes, APRN-WHNP, believe women's healthcare should look at the whole picture. From preventive care and hormone health to menopause support, managed weight loss and healthy aging, we're here to help you build a plan for feeling your best today—and protecting your health for the years ahead. 💕
🍂 With cooler fall weather arriving, it might be the perfect time to lace up those walking shoes!

🌸 Could hormone therapy play a role in long-term brain health?
A recent Inc. article highlights new research examining the relationship between hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and dementia risk—another reason the conversation around menopause and hormone health continues to evolve.
The study followed more than 183,000 postmenopausal women for an average of 13 years. Researchers found HRT use was associated with a 10% lower risk of all-cause dementia, with a stronger association for Alzheimer’s disease and certain groups of women. The findings also suggested that when HRT was started mattered, with the strongest association seen among women who began between ages 46 and 56.
Brooke Golwas, APRN-CNP, and Kelsie Estes, APRN-WHNP, can help you understand the changes happening during perimenopause and menopause, evaluate your symptoms and health history, and discuss whether HRT—or another treatment option—may be appropriate for you.
Hormone therapy can be an effective treatment for symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, menopause-related sleep disruption and vaginal symptoms. The right treatment depends on your symptoms, age, medical history, risk factors and personal goals.
💗 Your health today matters—and so does your health for the years ahead. Start the conversation.

✨ Why are some patients choosing Xeomin®?
If you’re considering a wrinkle-relaxing injectable, you’ve probably heard of Botox®—but it isn’t your only option. At Magnolia Health, Brooke Golwas, APRN-CNP, offers Xeomin, a clinically proven neurotoxin designed to temporarily soften the appearance of moderate to severe facial lines.
What makes Xeomin different? 💗
✨ A purified formula — Xeomin contains the active botulinum toxin without the accessory proteins found in some other neurotoxins, which is why it’s sometimes called a “naked” injectable.
✨ Natural-looking results — Treatment can soften expression lines while maintaining a refreshed, natural appearance.
✨ Targets the lines you notice most — Xeomin can be used to address areas such as frown lines between the brows, forehead lines and crow’s feet, depending on your individual treatment plan.
✨ Personalized treatment — Brooke evaluates your facial movement, concerns and goals to create a treatment approach designed specifically for you.
The goal isn't to change the way you look. It's to help you look refreshed, rested and still like yourself. 🌸
Interested in finding out if Xeomin is right for you? Schedule a consultation with Brooke Golwas, APRN-CNP, at Magnolia Health.

🌸 Could your hormones be affecting how you feel?
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect much more than your menstrual cycle. Hot flashes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, mood changes and changes in sexual health can all be part of the transition.
For appropriate patients, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) can be an effective option for managing many menopause symptoms. But HRT isn't one-size-fits-all—and symptoms such as fatigue or low libido can have many causes, which is why a personalized evaluation matters.
At Magnolia Health, Brooke Golwas, APRN-CNP, and Kelsie Estes, APRN-WHNP, take the time to listen to what you're experiencing, evaluate your overall health and discuss treatment options that make sense for you.
💗 You don't have to simply accept feeling different as “part of getting older.” Start the conversation and learn what options may be available.
