Oklahoma weather is tough on brick. Between summer heat, heavy rain, and winter freezes, your masonry chimney takes a beating.
Over time, that can lead to:
• Small cracks that let in moisture
• Loose or missing mortar joints
• Brick faces starting to flake or spall
Catching these issues early with a professional inspection makes repairs simpler and more cost‑effective.
If your chimney’s been through a few decades of Tulsa weather, give us a call at (918) 251‑3480.

We get this question a lot: “Do I need a chimney sweep or an inspection?”
A sweep focuses on cleaning out soot and buildup.
An inspection focuses on the structure and safety of your chimney system.
For older masonry chimneys, a detailed inspection is often the first step. From there, we can recommend cleaning, repairs, or both.
If you haven’t had your chimney properly inspected in a while, call (918) 251‑3480 or message us to schedule a visit.

On a recent project in Broken Arrow, a customer called us about “a few cracks” on their chimney.
Our inspection found:
• A cracked crown that was letting water in
• Deteriorated mortar joints along the top courses
• Early signs of brick damage from years of weather
We rebuilt the crown, repointed the masonry, and sealed everything properly. The finished chimney looks sharp again and is ready for many more years of use.
Got an older brick chimney that needs some attention? Call (918) 251‑3480 to schedule an inspection and repair estimate.

• Staining or discoloration on the brick

• Water spots on the ceiling or wall near your fireplace
• Smoke that doesn’t draft the way it used to
If you’ve noticed any of these around your masonry chimney, it’s a good idea to have it inspected. Call (918) 251‑3480 or message us to get on the schedule.

This week we inspected a beautiful older home in midtown Tulsa. The owners hadn’t used the fireplace much but wanted it ready for fall.
During the inspection we found:
• Loose bricks near the top of the chimney
• Hairline cracks in the crown from years of Oklahoma weather
• A cap that was past its prime
Our team repaired the masonry and installed a proper cap so the chimney is ready for many more seasons.
If your home has an older brick chimney, we’re happy to take a look. Call (918) 251‑3480 to schedule an inspection.

Most of the masonry chimneys we see around Tulsa were built long before today’s building standards. Summer is the perfect time to give them a little attention.
Here’s what a quick chimney inspection can catch early:
• Small cracks in the brick or crown
• Mortar joints starting to wear out
• Missing or damaged caps that let in rain and debris
If you’d like a certified technician to check your masonry chimney before fireplace season, call (918) 251‑3480 or send us a message here on Facebook.
