Can't drive?
If vision loss is the reason, and you're still working, looking for work, or just trying to keep your life moving, we want to know.
We're documenting exactly how real this need is across the greater Tulsa metro, the surrounding communities, and the rural areas beyond it. The bus doesn't reach everyone, and rideshare isn't realistic every day. This is how we prove it, and how we build toward it.
👉 driveablefoundation.org/familydrivers.html -form — takes two minutes, costs nothing.
Tag someone who needs to see this, or drop a ❤️ if you believe a ride shouldn't be the reason someone loses their job.
Can't Drive Due to Vision Loss? Tell Us | The DriveAble Foundation If vision loss means you can't drive, whether you're working or looking for work, we want to know. Free ride matching in Tulsa, the metro, and rural Oklahoma.
I’m in the passenger seat right now, and like most days Kristins driving, and it hit me that not everyone has a Kristin. Give me 7 minutes and I’ll share with you how we could help our low vision community in a meaningful way. driveablefoundation.org/cybertruck.html,

No driver. No one's hands on the wheel. Just us riding through Dallas in a self-driving car, picturing what this means for people who can't drive because of their vision. This is coming, and we want to be ready to help. Would a ride like this change your life, or someone's you love

Hey guys. Here’s where The DriveAble Foundation stands today and how you can help.
From idea to operational in six weeks. An update from The DriveAble Foundation. A personal update from founder Jerrod Young. Six weeks of momentum, what we're building, and how you can help us close the gap for the low vision community.

We’ve been building something special at The DriveAble Foundation, and I’m excited to share where we are. We just applied to the Awesome Foundation for a grant that would officially launch us as a 501c3 nonprofit. This is huge because it unlocks everything we’re trying to do.
Here’s the thing: millions of people with low vision can work and contribute to society. But they can’t drive safely, and they don’t qualify for disability services. Many live in rural areas with no public transportation. They’re stuck. We’re changing that.
We’ve already partnered with Uber Health. We’re working with Oklahoma’s Department of Rehabilitation Services. We’ve built our website, launched social media, recruited our first board member, and started conversations with Tesla, Waymo, and Lyft about making their platforms accessible for people with low vision.
This grant would get us officially recognized so we can start booking rides for people who need them and expand to autonomous vehicles in rural communities.
If this mission speaks to you, share this post. Help us spread the word.

Meet Scout, the newest member of The DriveAble Foundation team.
Scout is a mini blue merle Australian shepherd who brings a unique perspective to our mission. On his first day, he noticed something important — he couldn't reach the treat dispenser on his own. This experience has made him deeply committed to our vision of a future where he can call his own autonomous ride to the pet store and rectify this injustice himself.
His qualifications include impeccable nap scheduling, unconditional support for all staff, and a proven track record of keeping morale high. Scout's first project is making sure our office is never quiet or boring.
Welcome to the team, Scout. We're lucky to have you.
What's the best part about having a furry teammate at work? And if your pet had an autonomous vehicle, where would they go first? Drop a comment below.

Starting a nonprofit is expensive and time consuming. This is personal to me and my family. Help us launch The DriveAble Foundation and support people with low vision. Every dollar counts
