A selection of the figures I'll have available at the Crawfordsville Cards Comics 'n Toys SUPER SHOW on Saturday 10 October! I'm also taking commissions and custom design requests for the holidays - come out and say hi!
For today's edition of Friday IDE day - I'm sharing my latest commission!
Inspiration: The Grand Duke of Owls from the animated film Rock-A-Doodle
Design - I wanted to capture the details of his face in particular, as well as the weighty feel of his body.
Ex*****on: He didn't turn out quite as menacing as in my drawing, unfortunately, but his wings are posable thanks to wires sewn inside and the straws in his legs let him lean up against a wall.
With Spooky Season just around the corner, this Friday IDE-day I'm spotlighting horror hosts.
Inspiration: The legendary Elvira, Chicagoland's Svengoolie and Indiana's Sammy Terry
Design: I worked to keep the iconic elements of each character while adapting their look to my style.
Ex*****on: I'm pleased with the way all three came out - both Svengoolie's and Sammy's makeup and Elvira's generous ... beehive (what did you think I was going to say?)
I do have two commissions open for October - these figures (as well as most of my other designs) are $35 each or two for $60, which includes US shipping. Custom design requests (the Sven Squad or your local horror host, perhaps?) start at $40.

although that sure does help us 🩷
it’s the support of what we’re doing.
there aren’t as many weirdos out there making art and showing up at markets and craft fairs.
it’s not easy.
it’s freaking hard.
it’s long hours.
it’s the cost of supplies.
we can’t compete with big box stores.
we can’t compete with mass produced trash.
what we can do, is our best.
we can keep going.
we can keep showing up.
we can hope for the best.

Cuddly classic film and TV creatures who want to follow you home!
I'm a couple days late for the 60th Anniversary of Star Trek, but I wanted to share the designs and figures I've created for one of my favorite sci-fi franchises. From the beginning, this universe has explored societal issues, as well as celebrating diversity, and the belief that we can become better than we are.
A slightly belated Friday IDE-day! This was a custom commission request: Laura Powers from the Simpsons. The original image was my Inspiration, and for the Design, I wanted to show both her tank top and the army jacket. I was requested to include her nose and ears, and black outlines around her eyes. For the Ex*****on, her jacket is removable, and the chevrons were stitched on once the jacket was assembled. Another fun challenge that I think came together pretty well!
