Topeka Rescue Mission

May we carry all three into the week ahead!

In this episode (https://bit.ly/4jv7z0T), La Manda Cunningham talks about Topeka Rescue Mission’s fourth annual Night of Praise fundraiser and how prayer, financial support, and community involvement help meet the growing needs in Topeka. Then, Coach Damon Parker, Executive Director of The Jones Project joins us for an honest conversation about teen mental health, bullying, social media pressure, and su***de prevention. Damon shares why storytelling and simply being willing to have difficult conversations can make a lasting difference and why helping even one student choose to stick around makes it all worth it!

So much joy at our Hope Center!

We were excited to welcome back Bronze Costantino and the youth from Grace Community for their second year serving with our Hope Center families!

They spent the evening playing games with the kids, sharing activities, worshipping together, and simply bringing a whole lot of energy and fun. 🙌

We’re so grateful for groups who continue showing up and building connections with those we serve.

Thank you, Grace Community, for another special evening at TRM! ❤️🙏

What a gift to have the support of Mother Teresa Catholic Church! Funds raised through their Farmers Market were generously donated to support the work of the Topeka Rescue Mission.

Every person who shopped, volunteered, donated, or helped make the market possible played a part in this gift and in helping us continue serving individuals and families in our community.

Thank you, Mother Teresa Church, for your generosity, your heart for others, and for partnering with TRM in our mission!

We were grateful to welcome students from Pleasant Hill Learning Campus to TRM, where they spent time serving at our Distribution Center and helping sort clothing for individuals and families in need.

A special thank you to Regan Bind, social worker, and their teacher for bringing these students out and giving them the opportunity to learn, serve, and make a difference in our community.

Thank you, Pleasant Hill Learning Campus, for serving alongside us! 🙏

We’re grateful to have Baker University nursing students serving alongside us at MAP! ❤️

These wonderful students helped check blood pressure and spent time serving at our resource table, connecting individuals with helpful resources and support.

We’re thankful for partnerships like this that give students hands-on experience while helping us better care for those we serve!

We are just $5,000 away from reaching our Night of Praise goal!

We are incredibly grateful for every business, organization, church, and individual who has already stepped forward to support Topeka Rescue Mission and this special night. Every sponsorship and every gift helps make the work of the Mission possible.
