Paper Perennial

I'm blue that I won't be at the Mundelein Art Festival today (and it was cancelled yesterday due to weather). 😞. But after a stressful, low sleep night, I decided I couldn't risk all the paper flowers on this drizzly day. But if you're in the area, swing by and support the artists that are sticking it out through the rain! Your support means even more on days like this!

As usual, I did a pretty terrible job photographing my work before the art fair this past weekend, and there were so many that I was delighted with! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess I wasn't the only one. This was one of my very favorites that sold from the booth. Sometimes it all just comes together some kinda way: the vase, the colors, the greenery, etc. I loved the wildness of this one. 🩷🧡

What a wonderful weekend for my first time at the Bucktown Arts Fest! I even got this photo shared with me from a young photographer passerby (nick !). Met so many nice people, and boy did people still SHOW UP even with the intermittent rain on Sunday! Will definitely look into returning next year.
Last art fair of my season is the Mundelein Arts Festival, coming up September 19th! Working on a little preview of next year's flower of the year to debut there. 😉

It's here! My cousin's first published book! I'm so excited to read it! If you like high fantasy, check it out! If you don't like high fantasy, check it out anyway! So proud and excited for you, Victor! Victor Ladis Schultz ‼️

Working on some moody blues on this stormy Chicagoland morning. 💙 🌧️

Have you seen my mini plants in the Mis Plantitas shop on Wauconda's Main Street and wondered what else I make? Here's your chance! I'll be bringing my full season of pieces to Mid Plantitas' 5-Year Anniversary on Saturday, 8/15! I'm bringing ALLLLLL the little Plantitas (every variety I make!) as well as selections of wall art, 3D bouquets, magnets, and more!

Swing by, say hi, grab a bite from the food trucks, and check out all the other cool vendors that will be bringing their waters to help celebrate Megan, Molly, and what their shop means for us handmade artists!
