Make one of the Re:Group prints yours! Individual prints and entire portfolio's will be on sale during the exhibition reception on Saturday, October 3rd, 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

This event is free and open to the public. Proceeds from the sale of prints will benefit PAR's media production internship program, launching in 2027.

Rest in peace Frank

With great sadness, we share the announcement that Frank Herrmann passed away on 30 Aug 26. He was a beloved artist, educator, mentor, and Northside neighbor.

Frank was Professor Emeritus of Fine Arts at the University of Cincinnati’s college of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) where he taught since 1973, and where he was known as a patient, kind and supportive instructor who encouraged students to find their own voices. He was also a prolific painter whose work can be found in public and private collections all over the world.

The artist studied painting at Western Kentucky University, where he met his wife, Stephanie, and graduated with a BFA. He obtained his MFA from the University of Cincinnati and eventually returned to the Queen City to teach at his alma mater.

In 1986, Frank purchased this small building at 1633 Chase Ave. for use as his painting studio. It had been constructed in 1915 as a power substation for the Cincinnati Street Railway.

Earlier this summer, public art nonprofit ArtWorks Cincinnati embarked on a deeply meaningful project honoring the life and legacy of Frank Herrmann.

Designed by Frank and realized through a multigenerational collaboration, the just-completed mural covers all four sides of the building that had housed his personal studio. The work stands as both a public monument and a living classroom, celebrating the power of mentorship, artistic discipline and creative inquiry.

We extend our deepest condolences to all who knew Frank, and we are grateful for this beautiful new mural!

All done! Enodia Studio has finished restoring Ursula Roma’s iconic 1995 mural, “Northside: Keep It Beautiful,” and it looks amazing!

The artist and proud Northsider Ursula Roma passed away in May, and NEST set about to restore her iconic “Northside: Keep it Beautiful” mural that has welcomed us into the neighborhood along the Ludlow Viaduct for decades.

In restoring this mural, NEST also repaired the Liberty Exhibition Hall’s soffit, gutters, and downspouts to keep water away from the building and off of the mural.

Recently a group of neighbors also restored Ursula’s street mural on Brookside Ave.

Thanks again to all those who came out last Saturday for Northside Summer Market. The neighborhood was alive! Well minus the skeleton, pictured 😅
