This little rooster turns 3 today! She has the cutest sense of humor, loves riding on my shoulder, watching youtube videos on her mom’s phone, doing whatever her older sister is doing, and most of all…talking. Love ya Rinleigh! Happy birthday 🎈

How life feels lately

I shot these images handheld on my Fujifilm x100vi with the built in ND. This tiny little camera has made photography feel fun for me again

This craft has two sides:

1. The polish. This side wins the contract. The $3000 lens, the surgical color grade, and the crisp focus.
2. The grit. This side wins the heart. It’s the heavy grain, the shadows that are a little too dark, and the imperfections that turn an image into a memory instead of an ad.

If it isn’t gritty enough to feel, it isn’t finished.
