Meet our September Open Studio guest artist!

Next Monday, September 28, join Bella Hall for an exploration of screen-printed monotypes using watercolor, transparent base, shapes, and stencils. Participants will experiment with different materials and techniques to create unique images. For Bella, play and community are at the heart of making—and this session is an invitation to do that together!

One week until Printing Black America opens!

Next week, all 30 prints from Printing Black America: Du Bois’s Data Portraits in the 21st Century will be on view. The project builds on W.E.B. Du Bois’s groundbreaking data visualizations created for the 1900 Paris Exposition, reimagining them for the present through contemporary data and printmaking. Join us next Friday for the opening reception, and on Saturday for a panel discussion with William Villalongo, Shraddha Ramani and Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski to reflect on the ideas, research, collaborations, and creative processes that shaped the work.

We’re pleased to welcome Horacio Devoto, Mai Tran, and Whalen Ploikoff as the incoming 2026–27 Jerome Early Career Printmaking Residents! The cohort was selected following a rigorous review of application materials by jurors Rachel Collier and Juleana Enright. Fellows will spend their residency year creating new work, connecting with visiting artists and curators, and the residency will culminate in an exhibition at Highpoint in summer 2027. Show our new Jerome Residents some love in the comments!

Just one week left to see the Jerome Early Career Printmakers Exhibition!

Come experience the culminating work of Gabi Estrada, Dalton Carlson, and Edson Rosas as they conclude a year of artistic exploration at Highpoint. Together the artists utilize printmaking, sculpture, and installation, to offer unique perspectives on labor, food, family, belonging, memory, and community.

Miriam Rudolph first fell in love with printmaking during her undergraduate studies in Canada, where she was drawn to the intricate, hands-on processes that make each print feel a little bit like magic. When she arrived at Highpoint in 2011 as a co-op member, that foundation deepened, as Miriam expanded her technical skills and shaped the direction of her practice.
Time in the studio opened up new ways of working, from layering plates to using process as a way to build complex narratives; and her daily exchanges with fellow artists, printers, and staff left a lasting mark on her work and experience.
Those years in the co-op continue to resonate in her practice today. We’ve loved hearing and celebrating stories like Miriam’s throughout our 25th anniversary year.

Our co-op members took home all of the awards in the printmaking category this year, an exciting testament to the incredible work being made in our studios. Stop by the Fine Arts Building to see their work alongside hundreds of other Minnesota artists.

We’re excited to announce Printing Black America: Du Bois’s Data Portraits in the 21st Century, a special exhibition bringing together the complete portfolio of 30 prints by artist William Villalongo and urbanist Shraddha Ramani.

The project reimagines the groundbreaking infographics W.E.B. Du Bois created for the 1900 Paris Exposition, using contemporary data, printmaking, and the work of Black scholars, social scientists, and activists to explore Black life in the 21st century.

Created in collaboration with six printmaking studios across the United States, including Highpoint Editions, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience all six portfolios together.
