I’ve been sitting with Colossians 3:23 and decided to write it on my job board as a daily reminder of who I truly work for and whose approval I actually need. And here is what I’ve been taking in…

If we could regard our work as an act of worship or service to God, it could make the hard or boring parts of work feel more meaningful and less exhausting.

What if we worked without complaining or resentment if we treated the challenges related to our jobs as part of the cost and privilege of being Jesus’ disciples?

I’m choosing to work for the Lord. Not for my husband, not for my kids, not for my business and not for the world - just the Lord.
