My good friend, Jason, will be coming to talk about chess tournaments. If you’ve been playing casual chess for awhile, and want to step up your game, come by chess club tonight!
Jason will discuss the benefits of competitive chess, what’s required, best practices, and more. There will be a chess set giveaway for people who are interested in tournament chess 👀
We’ll still be playing fun games as we always do. We’d love to have you!

🚨 CHESS MEETUPS THIS WEEK 🚨
If you like chess, beer, tacos, some of them, or all of them… we want to see you this week! 🫵 We’re excited to be kicking off the week with TWO meetups back to back evenings!
🍺♟️ Beer and Chess on Monday at … come enjoy a nice summer evening outdoors with some chess and beer (or drink of choice!).
🌮♟️ Our regularly scheduled “chess and tacos” meetup on Tuesdays at is a go! All ages and skill levels encouraged to come. 6:30 start time, but several are showing up as early at 6! 👀 order tacos until 7 PM!

👨🏻🏫 Chess 101 and Open Play this coming Saturday, at the !
The first hour will be a guided workshop working on our chess fundamentals. How to move the pieces, what captures are, checkmate, and will include several breakout sessions, to practice these concepts with your peers! 💪
Open play will be just that… open to the community to play fun games for an hour!
Very grateful to be partnering with the STEAM center to bring chess to this program. If you’re free and eager for you or your child to learn more chess strategies, come stop by! ♟️
