I want to personally thank , , , and every law enforcement agency involved in uncovering and stopping this heinous plot that specifically targeted myself, the West Virginia delegation, and our colleagues at the Freedom 250 UFC event over the weekend.

The FBI and Capitol Police’s swift actions kept us safe from this direct threat against our lives, and I am forever grateful to these brave men and women.

I also pray for the perpetrators of this horrific plot. May they have a conversion of the heart, repent, and find salvation in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Riley M. Moore today introduced a resolution recognizing June 12, 2026, as the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and honoring the Sacred Heart as the living sign of Christ's divine love, mercy, humility, and redemptive sacrifice.

The resolution comes as Catholics throughout the United States celebrate the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and follows the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart during America's 250th year.

The resolution recognizes the centuries-old devotion to the Sacred Heart within the Catholic Church, its historic presence in American religious life, and its enduring call to prayer, repentance, Eucharistic devotion, and humility. It also commends the bishops of the United States for consecrating the nation to the Sacred Heart and encourages families, churches, and communities to renew this devotion throughout the month of June.

Press Release: Congressman Riley M. Moore Presents $1 Million Check for Market Street Bridge Engineering Work

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Riley M. Moore presented a $1,000,000 check to complete essential engineering and design work that will pave the way to completely replacing the Market Street Bridge. Rep. Moore secured these funds through his work on the House Appropriations Committee in Fiscal Year 2026.

This $1 million investment is essential to completing engineering and design work that will complete the first phase of replacing the bridge and will unlock prior funding streams secured to rebuild the Market Street Bridge, which carries West Virginia Spur Route 2 across the Ohio River, Ohio Route 7, and the Norfolk Southern Railroad.

The prolonged closure of the Market Street Bridge has created traffic congestion, complicated daily commutes, and negatively impacted local businesses and economic activity throughout the Ohio Valley. The engineering work funded through this appropriation represents a critical first step toward constructing a new bridge and restoring this vital transportation corridor.

Press Release: Congressman Riley M. Moore Presents $2 Million Check for Wheeling’s Northern Parkway Project

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Riley M. Moore presented a $2,000,000 check to the City of Wheeling for the federal funding to complete the Northern Parkway Project, today. The Northern Parkway Project is a critical infrastructure investment Rep. Moore secured through his work on the House Appropriations Committee in Fiscal Year 2026.

The funding will allow for the complete reconstruction of an essential connector route between Main Street and several residential neighborhoods. The roadway serves families, school buses, emergency vehicles, and local commuters every day, making it a vital transportation corridor for the community.

Years of deterioration have threatened the safety and reliability of the route, creating challenges for residents and first responders alike. The project will restore dependable access, improve mobility, and strengthen public safety for Wheeling families.

Congressman Moore secured the funding as part of the Community Project Funding process to address one of the city's most pressing infrastructure needs.

One year ago today, devastating floods struck Triadelphia and the Northern Panhandle, taking 9 souls.

I surveyed the damage in the immediate aftermath of this terrible storm and saw firsthand both the heartbreak and resilience of our communities.

Today, we remember the lives we lost and those who had everything taken by the flood. We also honor the first responders who worked tirelessly to keep folks safe.

We won’t ever forget.
