🐾🐾🐾. UPDATE!!! 🐾🐾🐾

Here is an update on the home we are helping with and the cats. To catch anyone up that missed what this is about... We were contacted last Wednesday from an organization about an individual that needed assistance with multiple cats and kittens in this home. There were 17 cats and kittens that were unaltered and the Rescue decided to help. With the help of our Rescue partners Last Hope Animal Rescue, S.A.I.N.T. Rescue (Saving Animals in Need Today) and Funky Paws Animal Rescue of Buchanan County we were able to find placement for all the kitties that were left that needed placement. The spay/ neuter process started today at Iowa Humane Alliance and the last 5 will go down next Tuesday. Thank you to all that have been generous to donate towards this cause. So far we have made enough in donations to cover the first round of spay/neuters with some to carry over into the next. We hope to keep the help coming in as there is an 11 year old altered male in the home that is in desperate need of a dental and we want to help. Thank you all for your support for the kitties 💕

Meet Arianna and Amelia. These two sweet girls are two months old. After they have been completely vetted they will be up for adoption!

Then there were 2! Rossi and Emily are the remaining two left from the 11 that came in months ago. These two are such sweethearts just like the rest of all of them. Please share and let's find these two siblings a home of their own! Apply for them at savingwhiskerscatrescue.org

Recently we were contacted by an individual about someone that needed assistance with multiple cats and kittens in their home. Last night we went to assess the situation. What we discovered was 22 cats and kittens and 5 newborns. 17 of those were of age to be spayed/ neutered. We took in 5 kittens, some being medically compromised. Unfortunately that is all we have the capacity to take in. The Rescue is stepping up to help this person spay/ neuter all of these kitties and we need your help. This is going to be a huge expense for the Rescue but it is needed to prevent more kittens from being born. We have appointments so far for 10 of them at IHA starting as early as Tuesday. We are asking for sponsorship for their spay/ neuter. The cost at IHA is $60 for Spay/Neuter and Rabies. If you would like to foster please fill out our foster application at savingwhiskerscatrescue.org
Please no negative or rude comments. This individual needs assistance and guidance and that is all. If you can help that would be greatly appreciated. Below is our Venmo. We accept Venmo, PayPal, cash or check. If you would like to mail a check and need the address please send us a message and we will provide that for you.

It took two years but this sweet girl Piper has found her Person! Extra bonus for her, her mama is studying to be a Veterinarian 💕. Piper came into Rescue the summer of 2024 as a feral kitten. I have watched this girl grow into the sweet girl she is. It has been my pleasure to listen to her little meows and give her the pets she absolutely loves. Enjoy your new life Piper. Love you! ❤️

A while back little Ms. Pearl and her sister Lainey were adopted together and needles to say they are Princesses in their home. Pearl here has a unique talent. The girls get fed wet food twice a day in their bedroom (yes their bedroom) and if the plate is empty and Pearl does not want to wait until it's time for supper she brings the empty plate from their bedroom, down the hall, into the living room and jumps on the sectional where mom and dad are parked and drops the plate! She has mom trained because mom gives in and feeds her the extra serving 😁. But really, how could you not? This was just too darn cute not to share. ❤️

Sweet Emily ❤️❤️❤️. When these 11 kittens came into Rescue she was by far the most spicy of them all. Luckily they were plenty young enough to get the spice out and make sweet and she has no spice left in her. The last female remaining in this group of 11 to find her home. Emily is playful, curious and a love 💕. She is coming up on six months old and would love to find her forever home. Preferably with another kitty or one of her brothers still left to find their homes. Emily comes completely vetted! Apply for her at savingwhiskerscatrescue.org

Jason is voicing his opinion about all this rain 🌧️ too! Ok not really. He's just ready for yet another kitty nap. Kitten life is rough 😎❤️. This boy is an absolute sweetheart. His purr motor never stops. He is completely vetted and just under 6 months old. Apply for Jason at savingwhiskerscatrescue.org
