ME/CFS Daily Life Impact Map 👑
ME/CFS does not just affect symptoms.
It can shape the whole rhythm of daily life — from getting up in the morning, to making food, keeping on top of the home, managing appointments, replying to messages, seeing people, or trying to plan anything at all.
So many everyday things can take more energy than people realise.
A morning routine might need extra time.
Household tasks might need breaking into tiny steps.
Cooking can feel like a full activity.
Admin can feel overwhelming.
Social plans may need flexibility.
Appointments can require recovery time afterwards.
And alongside the practical impact, there can also be the emotional side — grief, frustration, guilt, identity changes, and the quiet pressure of trying to adapt to a life that looks different from what you expected.
This is why support, pacing, planning, rest, and self-kindness matter so much.
ME/CFS is real.
The impact is real.
And so much of it is invisible to others.
Which area of daily life has ME/CFS affected most for you? 👑

The numbers don’t lie. 🧡 Remote work creates access to the workplace and allows countless disabled people the opportunity to participate in the workforce.
Image description: an infographic titled “Disabled Employment and Remote Work” is displayed on a light gray grid-patterned background. The title appears in large black text at the top, surrounded by decorative star-like icons.
The infographic contains three note-style text boxes. A green note on the left states that the rise of remote work brought historic employment rate highs for disabled employees. A yellow note on the right explains that employment rates for disabled workers increased from approximately 20.9% to a record high of nearly 26% after the implementation of remote work. A torn-paper-style note at the bottom left states that an estimated 80% of this increase can be directly attributed to remote work, citing Bloom et al. (2025).
In the lower right corner, there is an illustration of a person using a wheelchair and holding a red laptop. The person is wearing pink clothing and is positioned beside the text boxes.

they should have tried softer."

Image description: A screenshot of a social media post by “Misa on Wheels” () appears against a muted purple background. The post reads: “A house will not be a ‘forever home’ if accessibility is not considered when building it.”
Below the text is a photograph of the front porch of a house. The porch is elevated above the driveway and features both a short set of stairs and an integrated accessibility ramp leading up to the entrance. White railings line the ramp and porch, while several white support columns hold up the covered roof. Brown siding and trim contrast with the white architectural elements. Fallen autumn leaves are scattered across the dark driveway and ramp, and trees and greenery are visible in the background.
