Con-Quest Comiccon

stuff is brewing as we begin our discussions for 2027! We'll report once the date is official!

This past weekend, I took a chance on something new. And I talked my writers tribe into joining me. This is my tribe at our rowdy dinner celebrating after the convention.

I attended the first annual Con-Quest, a conference for writers and artists organized by Christopher Schmitz. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. New conferences can sometimes feel overwhelming or packed with lofty advice that's difficult to put into practice.

Instead, I was delighted.

The presenters were generous, practical, and refreshingly down-to-earth. Every session left me with ideas I could actually use, whether in my writing, my art, or the business of building a creative life. I came home with pages of notes, a head full of possibilities, and the kind of energy that only comes from spending a weekend surrounded by people who care deeply about making things.
