they don’t mean no drivers.

They mean no drivers willing to pull doubles.

Hooking one trailer is work.
Hooking two is a different level.

Two sets of airlines.
Two electrical cords.
Two tandems to watch.
Twice the swing.
Twice the risk.

Backing? Forget it.
Planning turns? Better think three moves ahead.
Wind hits different.
Braking hits different.

One mistake with doubles
and it’s not a fender bender.

So yeah… there are drivers out here.
Plenty of them.

But not everyone wants to drag two trailers through traffic,
tight docks,
mountain passes,
and 40 mph crosswinds
for the same pay.

That’s the shortage.

Not drivers.

Drivers willing to do the hardest version of the job.
